Huge place and can always get a seat at the last minute. Food is fresh and always plenty of it. Handy to drop in anytime for a take away order too

I dont think i have ever seen anything like Kam Fook with its seating capacity for approx 500-600 people. As it is so popular the service is a little slower but it is still service with a smile and the food is delish!.
The pork buns are yum as is the spicy king prawns.
Price is fair and makes it the place to go.

Kam Fook is a really good place for yum Cha, they have such a diverse range of choices and they certainly taste great. I love the congee, bbq pork spare ribs and the egg tarts. (Everything us great too). My only issue is the LONG wait for a table!

We love the yum cha here, the food are delicious and lots of variety. The last visit was abit of a shock. It seemed that the prices have gone up so much it's not funny. 2 adults and a 5 yo child costed over $80 and we are not even big eaters. That's almost one pays to go to a fine dining. Yum cha is not a fine dining. Perhaps there are now more restaurants around Chatswood serving yum cha but that's not the way to boost your profit. We have to think twice now to go back again.

Approximate cost: $9

I had my wedding banquet here, with about 100 guests. I ordered a vegan meal for myself, which was delicious. The food came out in good timing. Although I found it difficult to get a glass of cool water (they gave me warm or hot water twice before actually getting me cool water).

They have a video projector, which was good for a photo slideshow I made. They also have a stage which can double as a dancefloor, but because of the bright lighting and the prominence of this stage, most people are reluctant to get up and dance.

They put up a display of mine and my husband's names above the stage, which looked nice.

Another thing was they charged quite a lot for extra drinks. At least another $100 just for extra drinks (orange juice and soft drink, not even wine). My dad gave them a tip, but then regretted it because of the expensive drinks.

We came for Yum Cha recently but unfortunately during busy lunch rush hour. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, the place was packed! Restaurant is quite spacious, lots of room and quite modern and clean. We had the usual things we order dumplings, both vegetarian and prawn/ seafood varieties, honey soy chicken , steamed asian greens, salt and pepper calamari, sui mai and for the kids afterwards, jelly and mango pancakes for dessert. Food was good and piping hot, but considering how busy it was a good experience. Located inside Westfield Chatswood on Level 6 and not too far from Chatswood Station if your thinking of coming in by train. Will make sure to arrive abit earlier next time to be seated quicker! Great place for Yum Cha in the Chatswood area.

I have been here a few times... it is VERY busy at lunch time on the weekends... i have had to wait 45 minutes one time. Although the food is pretty good, i love the custard tards, steam pork buns and the jelly!

I went here for dinner the other night and was pleasantly surprised at the improvement of the dishes- they used better quality ingredients to other chinese restaurants I've been to and the servings were more than enough! We were all so full and had to take home several take away boxes full of food. I highly recommend the salt and pepper squid!

We went to Kam Fook Chinese Restaurant for our friends' wedding banquet reception. Lots of parking available in the Westfield shopping centre complex and the restaurant can validate your parking ticket if you enter the car park after 5pm - so parking for free! The restaurant space is quite huge and the ceiling is high as well, so it looks really nice with the decorations. The bridal changing room is quite big too. The food from the set banquet meals are delicious, the steamed live coral trout and lobster braised in ginger and shallot are really nice. Staff are efficient and courteous, delivering drinks and dishes quickly. My family and I sometimes go there for yum cha on the weekend as well, they never disappoint us.

When we visit this restaurant for Yum Cha, we know we will experience a delicious meal. There seems to be more variety in this restaurant than others in the area. They have really good mini pineapple buns & BBQ Pork pastries. The restaurant has a beautiful setting. I have also dined here for dinner and the food has always been very enjoyable.

Approximate cost: $20
