Bought my Mum a Voucher for “Hi Tea” as a Mother’s Day gift. Located on Unley Road, parking is a bit of a hassle but we did find an off-street parking area across the road which was free, so turned out well.
We were presented with a Mocktail on arrival and then shown to our table which was set up with a silver placemat, cup and saucer and candle. The whole shop is themed in pink with Audrey Hepburn memorabilia. A 3-tier plate was delivered to our table that included the following – a hot cheese soufflé topped with Smoked Salmon, 4 thin crustless sandwiches, 2 scones each with Jam and Cream, 2 mini banana caramel tarts and a large cupcake each. Nicely presented. The waitress offered us tea and coffee, which she poured into our cups.
It was a nice experience and for $20 each with the voucher, not bad value.
However, the regular price for 1 person is $40 according to their website. However, it mentions that chocolates, slices and sweets are part of the menu. We didn’t get any of them, so maybe that’s why the regular price is more expensive. Still, for what we had, we were quite satisfied and felt very full.
A nice experience for sure but I wouldn’t pay full price to do it again – 8.5/10

What can I say, overpriced sums it up. Thought it would be nice to take my wife as she had been talking about it for a while. Well, it was disappointing, not just the prices but the service, so slow, lacked interest, couldn't be bothered. A very disappointing experience that will not be repeated.

I went here for a high tea for an 18th birthday. Its a very sweet place and very vintage. However, the portions are not very big and the amount they charge ($35-$40 per head) was way extravagant for what you got!

The sandwiches we had were nothing special to rave about but I have to say the mini cupcakes we had were delicious!

I personally wont be going back there as I would much rather go to a pub and have a meal that actually fills me up.

Picture it...my 60th birthday and I have had a booking for 6 months for high tea. I had informed them it was a birthday celebration. On our arrival we were NOT asked of any food sensitivities which we both have. We were NOT asked if we had any likes or dislikes or favourite flavours. I wrongly assumed we would be asked about this later. The decor was nice but I noticed on the table the sugar spoon was broken so not a good look there. No chipped crockery or glassware on our table which was good. The assam tea came out in a large silver teapot but the flavour was mediocre. When the food arrived on a small 3 tiered platter everything was coloured brown not brightly coloured as I had hoped for my birthday celebration. One of the cupcakes had a lit candle in it which was nice but this cupcake was date which I dislike so they should have checked this on arrival as I stated earlier. The other cupcake was okay so my husband had that and there was some white christmas which neither of us tolerates. The sandwiches were stale and dry and contained nuts which is a real no-no for me. The only good thing was the scones (although they were a bit dry) with jam and cream. Most of the other items we left but we did eat the scones jam and cream. However at $40 a head it's a very very expensive devonshire tea wouldn't you say? The table next to us must have had regulars because they received much better service. I would have thought the owner would have noticed all the food we left and queried it? Sadly they did not. High tea normally runs for 2 hours but we left after 45 minutes. The owner even apologised to my husband for the expense we had incurred but did not offer any discount or extra cupcakes to take home. It is not a disability friendly establishment either so beware.

Had a high tea ($40) - very generous platters. The gluten free serve was also generous and varied. Decor is so pretty too. The bathroom is a bit dated. Would definitely revisit and recommend. Had a wonderful time and felt very indulged and girly.

I took my mother in law here when she came down from interstate for a visit. It was really lovely and girly and we had a blast. The place is immaculate and the service was great. The cupcakes are like heaven on earth. Highly recommend for a girlie day out.

I keep going to this place and I keep raving about it. It is definitely for the girls. Men might feel a bit strange here. It is pink, flowery, pretty, lacy. Food is exceptional. Always great care taken with quality and presentation. The cupcakes are to die for. Every woman should go one time in her life. I take a new friend there quite often so they can enjoy the experience. It is just delightful and you are treated like royalty. I love it

an excellent place to take older relatives as the service, tea and cakes are always gorgeous. Parking a problem for older people - on busy road so difficult to stop at door for them, but well worth the effort. Lemon curd cup cakes are the best!

We celebrated a small birthday party here and loved it - the decor was fantastic our birthday girl is obsessed with Audrey Hepburn, so it was perfect.

A special outing for the girls. Make sure you dress up to make it more special. For lovers of Audrey Hepburn and anything pink. Makes you want to go home and paint everything pink. Beautiful cakes and high tea while expensive is a lovely experience. Go for the decor and beautiful china more than anything else. I take both my Mums and they love it and girlfriends who need a girly day
