Very good service, workers are always friendly, have a very good range of tv's, games and movies. Prices are extremely competitive. Recommend you go there.

range is great - better than anywhere else in SA. Prices are usually on par with others with specials very good. always something to find there you havent seen before

We really like the jb hifi chain, and have always been able to find the products that noone else has. They are always cheaper, have down to earth salespeople that have good product knowledge.

Great range of DVDs, BluRay Discs and music that are hard to find elsewhere. They carry a lot of stock that other places wouldn't. They have staff working down most aisles, so there is always someone to ask for help.

Their prices for TVs, sound systems, cameras, GPS's etc are very competitive, and will try to beat any other prices. Fantastic store!

Good place to pick up some bargin DVD's/CD's. The quality of titles in the 'bargain bins' is sadly lacking.

The staff are the rudest around, if they didn't have the range and prices I would probably never step foot in there again.

Do they only hire emo kid that don't shower, covered in tats and have attitude?

JB is one of my favorite stores, because you can pretty much find everything you looking for. and i love the fact that they seal their dvds and cds instead of having empty covers and the disc stored elsewhere and when you buy it it's all scratched and annoying, so the seal is a great idea. having said that, they are a bit expensive especially when it comes to CDs, they only discount Cd prices when there is a new album made by a particular artist then they will discount the other albums made by that artist. although the place is very small but i find it easier to find something in this store than in the Jb in Marion which is huge and confusing. Anyway they are moving soon to a bigger place. their stuff are very helpful and provide great assistance.

I find the store too cluttered. There is so much in there, and yet, I never seem to be able to find or get what I want. Very rarely am I able to find or access a staff member to seek assistance from, which is disappointing.

I love JB. They have fantastic products at fantastic prices but they certainly need to pull up their socks in some areas. While they have great products, they don't always have them in stock when they're supposed to or have very little stock. Sometimes they take a long time to stock more of the same product.

The staff are also very off-handish. There used to be more helpful and friendly staff there but over the past year, they've gotten extremely rude and very unhelpful. There's a handful of reasonable people there but most are very unprofessional.

I also can't stand the ridiculous volume they have the music up. Sure they sell CD's but they sell DVD's too. Why not have a movie on? (at a reasonable volume, mind you). Sometimes they have both on and it's a noise overload.

Another gripe I have is how ridiculously hot it is in there! There is absolutely no air-conditioning EVER and I have come close to fainting on a number of times. The store is also extremely cramped. They desperately need a larger store. I'm constantly shoulder-to-shoulder with strangers. It's ridiculous!

It's the only store near me but I've been to the Modbury branch which is excellent. I can't get up there by bus though. JB used to be a lot better with stocking products and having cheaper prices but they're slipping lately. Still, they're the best DVD store around and with a few changes, they can be fantastic.
