this place was like a maze-i got lost plenty of times and asked for directions plenty of times.every floor i went to i got lost.and then to top the whole day off i could not find my car in the small cramped car park..the store maps were no help at all,one store map was around the wrong way.....wow what a day...stressful shopping adventure.

i felt like i took the kids to a maze.it was a great experience so many levels so many things to look at.great specials and super friendly staff, called in the restaurant to get a bite, well worth the money.only problem is trying to find where you parked your car.

I love the shopping with idea. They have really good range of varieties from cheap, middle to really expensive. Just sometimes if you see something on the website, might be you can't able to find the same thing in the store as it already been sold out. So be quick.

Honestly who doesn't love IKEA? The Giant Swedish company which sells ready to assemble furniture, appliances, homewares, office furniture, bedding, toys... just about everything including a restaurant upstairs and kids world downstairs where the kids can play or watch a movie for an hour whilst your browse at your leisure! Could happily spend a day browsing at all the cheap knick knacks for home, business or leisure! Have bought many thing's her over the years such as my daughter's desk and will continue to do so! Also a IKEA FAMILY member here where you get discounts on meals and products, special perks and M-F you get two free coffees and access to VIP nights and early info on sales and specials they have throughout the year. And who can argue with a $3 breakfast or $2.50 vegetarian one! Amazing! Worth a visit!

Sorry but I hate a trip to IKEA - it is like entering the twilight zone. You go around and around and when you finally get out you are no longer sure if it is day or night. I like their stuff, generally, but hate the overall experience. Food at the cafe is awful.

Hi itgirl41,

Everyone is different!I usually just leave my kids for an hour at the downstairs Playarea, so i can shop in peace, but I do take into consideration your point, at times it's a nightmare to shop but other times I get in an out quickly! :)

Ikea Rhodes is a large furniture store where you pick up a pencil and product slip and fill out the information on any items you want to purchase (you collect them at a warehouse once you are finished). The entire store is mock displays of what the furniture/ items could look like in your house. My partner and I bought a computer desk and chair for $80 so it is very affordable. The only possible downside for some is that you do have to make the furniture yourself, but it's not hard and I consider it a lot of fun.

Ikea is a wonderful store that allows customers to browse and try their items without being hounded by staff. Excllent returns policy and helpful staff when need them. Love my computer table.

Approximate cost: $200

So just to begin with I'm going to declare a slight love for IKEA. I can't help but enjoy walking through their stores feeling like a grown up kid and admiring all the cheap bargains, even if I don't need that coffee table or supremely comfortable chair, even if it is see-through and fun to look at. Their swedish meatballs are amazing, and the chocolate bars they have are also surprisingly good! Whilst I love IKEA, the only qualm is that if I lose a sibling or track of a friend along the journey, it literally takes at least an hour to find them and walk out of the store again.

The beauty of this store is that you can always find something - even if you don't really need it! The appeal lies in the quirky nature of things that they sell. Recently bought a doona cover which comes with four pillowcases. At $59 this was a bargain. Parking can be a nightmare. Haven't been to the new Tempe store as yet.

I wish I lived closer to an Ikea! I really do love this store, I never feel as if I'm finished shopping when I leave. Such great variety at great prices, whenever I need new furniture, I go to Ikea first.
