THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE - SHOP ELSEWHERE!
I have spent about $1,000 with these people (directly and on eBay) in the past 2 months and I have had nothing but trouble. 1. Items listed on website not always in stock and not advised at time of order - waited 5 weeks for delivery. 2. Items on website can only be picked up and not available for delivery and not advised at time of order. 3. Items missing from order and no resolution from them. 3. Wire Clamp split bolts not fit for purpose as inferior quality metal - broke on first use and Horsley have not agreed to return and refund. I WILL NOT SPEND ANOTHER CENT WITH THEM!
I bought an electric fence system to keep my cows away from my very old fence. Megan was very helpful and really took the time to take me through everything i would need & even talked me out of the things i didn't need!! Was also nice dealing with a fellow lady who really knew what she was talking about!! I would recommend their service to anybody!

Hi Steve, I think Horley wholesale is total bull tish. All they sell are cheap chines imitations and when it breaks (which undoubtedly yours has by now) they have yiour cash and dont want to know you. Cheers
We have dogs; two very large dogs to be precise. One dog is good about going to the toilet in the garden, but the other goes all over the lawn. We'd like to train him to go in the garden and ideally one spot. So a while ago I rigged up a small string fence, to direct him to the area I was him to use. However he just ignored this and jumped (maybe even just stepped) over the string. So I decided to get an electric fence and try this instead. Before people label me cruel (as my wife did), I figured I'd only need to leave it on for a few days and then he'd learn.
When you live in suburban Melbourne, buying an electric fence is not easy, so I looked on the internet and found Horsely Joinery, who sold online. I wrote to them about what I was doing and they suggested a Thunderbird mains powered electric fence energizer, wire and some insulated fence post brackets. The smallest size they had was designed to power 5km of fencing, which would do my small back yard fine:)
I paid and received the goods a couple of days later, and rigged up the fence.
A Happy ending? No. The next day the dog started going to the toilet on our porch instead! Back to the drawing board.

Hey Paul - have you tried taking the dog out on lead to the area you want it to releive in, then praising (plus optional food reward) when the dog goes there? This has alwasy worked well for me - means a couple of weeks of dedication, but always seems to work...

We since spoke with Sam at Take a Paws and he suggested the technique you describe too. We have been patiently trying it with both dogs for about 6 weeks now, and it's having some success, but more time is needed. The dogs have to be locked in the house and then taken outside at intervals so that they only go in the spot we want them too. Luckily we work from home. Unfortuantly one of our dogs is not the smartest, but he will get there! Patience seems to be the key. Paul.
