3pm on a Saturday. Food all under tables. Portions were misleading from pictures. The place had 3 tables with patrons and the two waitresses were busy chatting behind the bar. Our 12 year old complained himself and we got a discount but still very poor. Disappointing.

I visited Hog's Breath Cafe with a friend, and we were told that we had to wait 10 minutes for a table, but got shown one only 2-3 minutes later which was a nice surprise. The staff were very friendly and courteous, and food was delicious and reasonably priced.

good place to go to for a more special occasion, steaks are absolutely massive and very filling with different options to choose from, it's usually busy when we visit but the wait isn't too bad

Great place! Had lunch here today! The lunch meal deals are awesome value! And tasted yummy and were a huge meal! The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the customer service was great. Atmosphere and restaurant layout is awesome!

Tasty food - a little expensive for what it is - but good atmosphere. A lot of items hanging around on the walls to keep you amused and the staff are all nicknamed (take note of their name tags). Very good for families. They also have a loyalty scheme which goes something like once you get 10 stamps you earn a discount on future meals. Love the curly fries.

As soon my partner and i walked in the door we were greeted with a friendly smile, and shown to our table. The waitress introduced herself and waited on us for the entire evening. The food was quick to be delivered after we ordered, which was a little surprising but all doubts about its quality were put to rest after my first mouthful. I ordered the chicken and ribs combo with salad and the only thing i can pick about was that the chicken was a little but dry. My partner ordered the avocado steak and was all grins :). The atmosphere was cosy and comfortable. All round a very pleasant experience. i plan on making more night outs at the Hog Breath.

The food here was edible but overpriced. The atmosphere tries to be one of an American Restaurant (even goes so far as to have USA license plates on display), but falls very short [Hooters]. The service was horrible, asked 4 times for water, none of the dishes were cleared as we ate and the seats we were given (for a party of 16) was 2 (large) booths. When we ordered coffee, we asked for Equal sweetener and were told they were "out". We asked for raw sugar and told they were out of that too. There was ample food, but it was just edible, nothing to write home about. We had the Seafood Tower. When we asked to take home the salad, we were told, "Sorry, we don't have a license for that." We tried to explain that it isn't a law in Victoria and you don't need a license to take out food you have paid for (it isn't a business set up as a take-away.) We tried to explain that it may be the company's policy, but it isn't a law or licensed. Very disappointed we couldn't take home what we paid for and we don't go back to places that don't allow us to take food home that we couldn't eat that we have paid for! This was for a friend's birthday and it was such a huge disappointment.

Great food, friendly and funny staff, good prices. Always a pleasure to eat here with friends, especially before a movie with the cinemas so close.
