Last week, I bought a TV in-store, but it came out of the box damaged. Should be straightforward to return it, right? How mistaken I was. Five days and numerous phone calls later, I still don't have a functioning TV. Care factor zero. Handballed it straight to the manufacturer and now I'm left to deal with it.

If retail outlets don't realise that customer service is the one edge they have over their online competitors, then it's no surprise customers walk away. I will certainly never buy from Harvey Norman again

Always happy with the service and products there, helpful staff and able to barter for a better price and most times we can come to a price we are both happy with. Wide variety of products and layed out nicely on the store room floor.

When buying any expensive item my husband and I like to check our facts for the best type, model to suit our needs and of course price. Unusual for me to review "big" business but I was so impressed by the service we recieved by Colin at Harvey Norman. Every bit of information he gave us correlated with what we had discovered about a Tablet we were looking at. We were encouraged to handle, play, fiddle and ask question after question. With his extensive knowledge of the products he had available, he was able to help us compare, with products side by side, to eventually narrow down to the one we bought. I was very impressed by his patience and the range of goods they had on offer.
