I have used gumtree to sell and to buy. its great that its free and the search feature is quite good. To sell it can be a pain, don't put in an email address or mobile number as i have received many suspicious requests, I now stipulate voice calls only to a land line number.

brilliant site! i sell all my stuff on here, no selling fees or excesses. and they come to your house to look and pay it on the spot. its an excellent way to get rid of stuff you dont need.

Such a great place to find second hand stuff and to get rid of your own junk (which could be someone else's treasure).

managed to find some great bargains on this classified's website. they even have a special section called 'freebies' where people list free stuff. one of the best features of the website though would have to be the 'map' function - which allows users to find items by viewing their location on a map - great for those that want a bargain around the corner.

I recommend this site everywhere I go!! It's absolutely fantastic. I both buy & sell on here & haven't had any major dramas yet!

I have sold a few items on gumtree. it is very easy to use and obviously has a large population that use it making it good to sell things and its free, what more could you want. much easier than having a garage sale.

gumtree.com.au is a great website that offers users to post items that they want to sell and buy for FREE. It also acts as a forum to advertise rentals etc, I have actually rented out twice through gumtree. the website is known internationally, and a great option to sell unwanted gear. Don't expect to sell straight away, there are generally more people selling than buying.

It's a great, free website to peruse. It's got everything you could be searching for. Jobs, accommodation, furniture. Although, a relatively high rate of scams, but what can you expect from a free site.
