I have been to this hotel several times over several years, and have never had one complaint about it, although I do agree the salads and sweets could be a little more "inviting". The vegetables are always hot and colorful, and no matter what meat I have, it is always cooked the way I like it.. (Their pepper sauce is to die for btw). I heard a new chef may be starting in the coming weeks, so for anyone who has had a bad experience, why not give it another try?
If there is one problem with this hotel, its the parking... although I doubt that anything could be done about it, so don't worry about a little walk, you will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff.
I am sure

l went on a Saturday night it cost $45.00 for dinner and a show, dinner was a set menu of 5 items which l thought could have been a bit better unless you like seafood or spicy stuff and if you wanted dessert it cost $6.95 for a small slice of cheesecake which cost way to much l left feeling hungry and actually stopped for a pizza anyway the Australian AC/DC band were quite good enjoyed the music very much but probably wouldn't go there again

Tried their mid week specials and was pleasantly surprised. Their steak was cooked beautifully and the Chicken Parma was yum. My only complaint would be the old fashioned salad bar, it didn't look too appetising, so I steered clear of it, although my partner said the salads were nice.

Approximate cost: $12.95

I have dined at the Greensborough Hotel Bistro several times before but my most recent dining experience leaves me not wanting to return.
My booking was for 7:30 in the middle of evening service. The meals took a long time to emerge and the quality was poor. My bruschetta: the bread had not been grilled so it was cold and the topping had completely soaked the bread till it was soggy and unpleasant. My "Scotch Fillet" was actually a Porterhouse and the chips were luke-warm. Our dirty dishes were left on our tables for 10 minutes while waitresses cleaned and re-arranged vacant tables for the next day.

Approximate cost: $20
