Awful service today. After being blocked entry by a group of people with prams, they saw the look on my face struggling to enter the store and realising my annoyance, and the fact they were in the wrong, one hurled abuse at me regarding the position of my mask. I replied to her, only to be abused again. I walked up to the counter and was greeted by the worst possible attitude from [removed name] , who replied with the words ‘I didn’t hear anything, I don’t like to get involved’. Not possible that she heard nothing. She could’ve given any other response, like ‘that’s a shame’ but she chose to be ignorant and the look on her face said it all, treating me as the perpetrator instead of the victim, who struggled to gain entry to her store. She seems to forget that I am the customer, not the lazy people blocking the entry. The are not her customers. I was less bothered by the people abusing me and more upset with the look and attitude. [removed name] was giving me. I sincerely hope the owner checks the video footage around 11.45am today, and decides for themselves. I AM THE CUSTOMER and always have been, having purchased several of their most expensive items over the years, as their computer will prove. But I will no longer return to this store.

Needed some new bags for a fairly old cleaner I have. The young salesman had no clue on where to look and what would be suitable for my model, despite having all the info for him. He thrust a packet to me when he couldn't be bothered looking anymore, and said "take these", "if they are wrong then bring them back". I said I did not want to have to come back, could you please find out which are the appropriate bags, even if you need to ring anther store (there is one in Glen Waverley just a few klms away!) As he got one the phone, I was looking around and found the suitable bags and indicated this to him. He hung up without even saying goodbye to the caller, and processed my purchase without a word, except for the price. He was so rude and embarrassed that I had found them.

Approximate cost: $10

Being bombarded with Godfreys sale commercials listing vacuum cleaners at half price we gave in and went along to the Knox store to make a purchase last weekend. We had been to this store before for our old vacuum cleaner for replacement bags - at this time, in spite of taking a bag in for reference, we got home to find they gave us the wrong bags to replace it and they didn't fit. Upon calling them we returned and had it replaced no problems, but it was inconvenient all the same.

Anyway, we went in last weekend to buy a new vacuum. We specified what we were after (cyclonic, bagless, affordable) and were shown a couple for $99 but told they were not the best quality and due to only having one motor or something we would get about 25 minutes good use out of them at a time. Not sure why they bother selling them then??

So we were shown one for $199 and encouraged it was worth the money for a better machine. This particular vacuum cleaner was sitting on top of a Hoover vacuum cleaner box and so both myself and my partner, not paying attention to whatever text/brand was noted on the actual machine, were reading the Hoover box whilst considering our options. The salesman suggested he could do it for cheaper ($149) and that buying a brand as opposed to a no-name with 24 months warranty as opposed to 12 months was definately worth our while. He is supposedly the expert, what do we know?

So we agreed and brought it. As we went to pick up our box from the floor we noted it was not a Hoover we had just purchased (our own fault for not paying perfect attention when looking but I am also confident the salesman had given us the wrong impression as to what we were looking at in the first place - it was a REALLY big Hoover box) it was brand unknown to us. But we left with it all the same and it appears to work fine. Still annoyed though that we feel we were misguided on our purchase.

My opinion: don't believe the sales ad's for Godfreys - the store has very few cheaper machines and they certainly don't sell them to you anyway if you do want one!
