We used to go here to get all our fruit and vegies because it was more economical than the supermarkets.

However, these days they have become ridiculously overpriced. We don't go there anymore. The supermarket's fruit and vegies are cheaper and the quality is just as good, if not better.

I have been to Get Fresh on numerous occasions to buy my fruit and vegetables and found them to have very reasonable prices and good quality.

standard of produce has gone downhill in recent times, strawberrys are always mouldy, and most of the blue bag items are these days rejects that are very dry or woody. They used to give away the items that were on the turn but now, are trying to be sold...why must they keep on selling those furry strawberrys, that are obviously a health hazard? - whilst get fresh used to be good i am finding it less attractive than it used to be

There standard prices are reasonably competitive but where they really shine is in their 'blue bag' specials where the prices can be very cheap and often as cheap or even cheaper than what I will see at a produce market such as Dandenong. Wide choice of fruit and veg available as well as other goods. Their bread is particularly good value. Free loyalty program that works out to a 2% discount. Bargain section where you can pick up a box of produce for $2 though some of this can be very close to its use by date.

Best thing about this store is the pricing. I have only found one item I was not happy with - kiwi fruit that wouldn't ripen.
Produce can be smaller than the massive supermarket ones, but that is a good thing. My daughter can actually eat a whole reasonably-sized apple, and the prices are great. Who says fruit has to be large, tough and flavourless to be good!

Great fruit and veg. Can pick up things really cheap or you can pay a little more for top quality. They also stock things like nuts fruit juice spices at reasonable prices. Service helps you put things into the car.

Cheap fruit and veg, bread. If you are lucky you can pick up a whole box of variety for $2 (not the best quality but a variety). The quality varies from time to time.

Approximate cost: $50 week

Far better than the supermarkets for freshness and price. Even when prices fluctuate they offer alternatives such as cheaper small tomatoes when the price of regular tomatoes rose. We have also found that the meat in the Get Fresh Meat next door is excellent quality.

Value for money, cheaper than supermarket prices. I always do my big f&v shop here, they often have great bargins and sometimes even freebies of products that are near the end of their shelf life, instead of throwing them away (last time I got a 5kg bag of potatoes for free which were perfect). Definitely worth the drive.
