My child loves going here every week. The teachers are great with kids and patient. Well organised, and prices are reasonable. Quite a waiting list as this place is popular, so get your booking done early!

great ad comfortable place for my children to come and enjoy themselves as well a develop their skills. A bit out of my way but I don't mind considering im getting great service and value

The great thing about this club is the wonderful atmosphere of co-operation and care. I wanted somewhere for my child to develop some skills but also gain confidence and independence.

The coaches at FCGC are all practicing gymnasts themselves - often award winning State titles, and so you know they have the knowledge and skill to help your child progress. They also have a wonderful attitude of pastoral care - they will talk to the children, and get to know their personalities and so they build up a warm relationship.

The head Coach here, Tammy is a woman of high professional standards who is an inspiration to all the others. She still regularly exhibits at the children's' concerts and displays. These are a real hoot by the way, each class does an item and so you're not left out. Costumes are simple and easy to find or make. But book your ticket early, it's crowded. One at the end of every year and each child receives a medal of achievement.

The office staff are all helpful and considerate, there is a large area upstairs for waiting, a kitchen for cuppas and snacks and lockers for the children and ample parking in the street. But you have to watch out sometimes as trucks use this as a shortcut - don't park out from the kerb or in front of their depot.

They moved here from cramped quarters around the corner in Geelong Road and it is a great improvement - much more space on the gym floor for the equipment.

But it's the attitude of "let's join in and have a go" which I like very much. Yes, they hold and travel to competitions where the children can pay a fee to enter and be judged but they don't push you to do this and it's not about medals and prestige for the club which some other places are. It's about the children and making them feel good about themselves in a friendly, like-minded group. Classes start at an hour and then progress up to 2 hours, one or later, two nights a week. Some on weekends.

The only downside is the fees - which you have to pay on all children's activities I suppose. And the uniform in the first few years is just black shorts and singlet, but when you get up a few levels, they want you to have club leotards and stuff which cost quite a bit. And they are so popular which means lots of classes from tinies to adults, always people coming and going.

A great place for excellent skill training and a happy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

i took my daughter to have a free trial which was fantastic as i had to pay at another center.......which was a total waste of money and time as they had zero customer service the footscray city gym were fantastic welcoming us to there gym great big smiles at 9am in the morning explaining what they do and how they do there session was fantastic even my 1 yr old son and husband had an absolute ball great way to get the kids active :p

Having worked in the sports industry for many years in the supply and installation of elite level sporting equipment. I cannot fault the Footscray gymnastic club for their commitment to providing their customers with the safest equipment on the market. There are many times where a cheaper option is available but they always base their decision on what is best/safest. If you live in the area and your kids love gymnastics, this is the place to send them to.
