Dr Ruffs surgery has blessed me with the last 36yrs of an amazing lifes journey, which continues I am now 74. I have tried many times to come and thank him. I went to Dr Ruff for advice about chronic back pain stemming from a herniated L5/S1 disk resulting in inability to sit or do vigorous exercise. Needless to say, inability to sit results in having to completely change every aspect of one's lifestyle and amounts to a severe disability. Dr Ruff barely listened to me and dismissed me, saying casually that I needed to strengthen my core by doing as many sit-ups as possible. This was disastrous advice that led to worsened pain. It is well known that sit-ups are harmful to those with lumbar issues and may in fact even cause them.

A story abt an amazing man. Our now 31 yr old daughter had a pine tree frong lodged/hiding within the complex biology of her little foot (6/7yrs old). RUFFY (Dr Ruff) diagnosed & removed what had eluded many other physicians. Along with his genuine kindness & thoughtful compassion, he fixed the problem without fuss or $$. As an ex RNSH ED staffer, I can honestly say Dr Ruff is one very special person & a highly experienced & gifted physician.

I was referred to Dr Ruff by a fantastic back specialist based in Sydney, Dr Christopher Needs. I have had back problems for almost 3 years due to a herniated disc with severe sciatica pressing on my nerve root. I could hardly walk.
Dr Ruff was very understanding and empathic with regards to my situation. He explained my condition clearly and admitted me into hospital.
I have since had a disectomy and I am recovering well so far.
