This place is a really great kennel. It has a lovely friendly feel, is very reasonably priced and my dogs come home ever so happy after each of their stays. Nothing is too much trouble- happy to give special feeds, complex medications and even made sure my old Labrador had her daily apple and carrot. It is refreshing that they are very happy to use the dogs own beds/blankets which is evidenced by the ruffled state of them when they are returned (unlike other kennels who took the bed and stored it , only to return it in a pristine state.) When I collect my dogs I am informed of how they have been during the care period. We travel along way to use this kennel because its good value for money and you are treated as an individual. They did not ask to see my C5 which maybe should have been a sign, but it says to me the dogs possibly aren't protected. On picking up my dog, the man yelled at me, gave me my dog's special diet (all individually pre packaged up) back which shows he did not get fed! He needed special food with Sashas Blend for his hip dysplysia already added, he was also on medication from the night before which he didn't get, this was provided on drop off. There was poop in the cage equivalent to the two days so that was never picked up. There's no bed provided so if i didn't take mine he would have been in the dirt. The cages have no grass, only gravel and are filthy. After paying, the man threw the $4 change at me and said nothing. He knew i wasn't happy about my dog being starved.

My poor boy scoffed dinner down at home and looks and smells terrible after just the two days there. It's animal cruelty as they obviously didn't even try to feed him!

I have used the Doggie Motel several times. it is clean and the pens are roomy and owner/manager is friendly and helpful. my only criticism with all dog kennels is why we pay the same price per dog if they are all in together or in separate enclosures.

The best motel for dogs ever! They look after your dogs like they are their own.You don't have to worry about a thing while you are away if your dogs are left here. They are perfectly looked after, get lots of cuddles and they play with them too. I drive from the other side of Melbourne to Ballarat and then back to airport because it is so worth it for the peace of mind. Thanks guys!

If you're going away on holidays and don't have anyone to look after your pets while you're away, look no further. The wonderful, caring people at the Doggie Motel are there to help. They will take in your pets and look after them as if they were their own.

This is a wonderful place to leave your pets, I have been useing these kennels for years, always clean, and owners are so helpful , tried others , but so happy will never change
