We dined here for my son's birthday. We had booked a table but were placed next to the path to the take away counter so there was a lot of foot traffic going past. We didn't wait too long for service and our meals arrived fast. We had the dips for entree but there was not enough for the 5 of us. Only 3 of us got to have 2 pieces of bread. The dips themselves were tasty. Their pizzas are always good and my son enjoyed his chicken parma. My risotto however was not made with arborio, just long grain rice and there was no parmesan in it, was not creamy at all. No offer of black pepper either. Two of us had the rib eye steak from the specials board, they were the smallest rib eyes I've ever seen and the quality of the meat wasn't good. They would have been better cooked on the grill, not pan fried. The sauce was good though. The best part of our night was our wait staff, they were excellent.

Approximate cost: $25

Going to Di Caprios is great for a casual dinner with friends or family. The prices are good and the food is wholesome and home cooked.

Over the years I have been going the manager got to know my face and always me and my group feel welcome, checking to make sure everything was good.

Can be noisy and busy but the staff do a great job. You can ask for a quiet spot or book a table here. The dining room is set up with different area.

Great for picking up cheap pizzas for take away nights, ample parking. Great at being what it is - a family friendly eating place.

We've been here on two occasions for dinner and made the mistake of not booking for the first one. It's a very big room with lots of wooden tables and chairs but half of it was taken up by some enthusiastic sports team and they were so noisy that it rather spoilt the evening for us.

The food was good - others had the pizza - as good as any we usually have, though nothing above that. I had a Calzone - (pizza folded in half) and it was very delicious. Service a little slow, but I blamed it on the team event.

It's right across the road almost from Werribee shopping centre and plenty of parking.

The second time we made sure to book and asked about seating. This time we had half the restaurant to ourselves. I had a pasta dish which could have had a little more ingredients than pasta in it, but was good. The others in the party enjoyed their meals but the whole place just lacked that "certain something".

There are fake Italian frescoes on the walls, not stunningly painted if you care about anatomy or perspective and this put me off a little. Floor could have been a bit cleaner too.

But all in all, it was a reasonable place to take a family and I would return.

Approximate cost: $20 -25, less for pizza.

Last time I was here I had the chicken schnitzel. It was cooked well and is breast chicken not cheap pressed chicken that some places serve. The portion sizes are large and the service is friendly.

We had lunch here. The waitress took forever to take our order and it was not busy. We waited a while for our food. When the food got there I was not impressed. It tasted like a microwave meal. Will not be eating here again. I have heard the coffee is good though I do not drink coffee.

We Would only come here again for dessert and coffee. We were left waiting 15 minutes before any one took our drinks order and this was on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Maybe it was a case of out of sight out of mind as we were in a big room by ourselves?
The entrees - We ordered Wedges and garlic bread. The wedges were over cooked which made them too crunchy and bitter tasting. This was still better then the garlic bread which literally had big chunks of charcoal around the crust. A little charcoal is OK but this was ridiculous. Why did some one not make the call to redo these dishes especially since it was so quiet. Not impressed. A shame because the inside of the bread was nice and fluffy.
No one had any complaints about mains. They were nice enough. Drink service was not good. We ordered drinks when we received our meals and still 15 minutes later no drinks. We advised the young man serving us and he went and checked on them for us. Dessert was the redeeming feature. Great range of cakes and desserts on the menu and sensational coffee.

Approximate cost: $20-$30. We paid about $150 for 6 meals , drinks and desserts total.

Great Pizza, simple as that! The only silly thing is that you have to go to the bar to buy drinks, they do not add to your bill and they don't do table side delivery. They are losing money and business, who wants to get up every 30 mins, the are a restaurant after all. Still worth it for the PIZZA and price is great.

Approximate cost: $10

I like Di Caprio's Hoppers Crossing very much. My favorite dish is the Pumpkin, Chicken and Bacon risotto. It is absolutely delicious and one of the reasons i keep going back. The prices are extremely competitive and the food quality is good.
