DON’T GO HERE
We have been going here since it opened, up till now I have always considered this to be my favourite bar and bistro. However, recently I have had 2 very unpleasant experiences with staff. On the 1st occasion I called to book a table and politely asked if it would be possible to have a table on the side as we had a baby and did not want to disturb anyone. The lady said ‘What do you mean?’ I explained again to which she was very short and abrupt and said ‘No’ I was quite taken back and replied ‘Oh,ok’ and she hung up on me. A few weeks later I tried again I booked a table for 10. I made no requests what so ever. My daughter retuned from ordering her meal, saying how rude the staff were to her. Later my son, politely asked for some hot water to warm up his baby’s bottle to which the lady snapped back at him that they have 20 coffees on order ! He politely said he doesn’t mind paying extra for a coffee so that he can get just the the hot water for his baby’s bottle, but the staff member was so rude that he came back. We complained to another member of staff and she said that they are so under staffed and constantly being yelled at by management for not keeping up with orders. This place has gone downhill and is a shambles especially when staff are so miserable that they treat customers in this way ,it is a knock on effect. To the owner, if you cannot value your staff and treat them well they in turn will not value your customers, you do not deserve to succeed and your unpleasant staff will bring you crashing to the ground eventually. Show your customers better service especially the loyal ones and their families. So disappointing to see how miserable your staff are that the treat customers with no value. Needless to say you have lost 10 loyal customers due to unfriendly, rude staff. I no longer recommend you!

The food is outstanding and the venue is immaculate, however when we went there we were shown to our seat but not informed that I need to order at the counter, sat for 10 mins before we figured it out, staff were very casual about taking my order and drink service was very slow
Will go back for the food, but table service should be applied at these prices

Our second visit as we were wowed with the quality of the food last time. First time I had a seafood Fettucine which was amazing. Heaps of different seafood and a lovely sauce with a touch of chilli. The wife had a chicken dish which she also loved.
Last night we shared a Tasting plate - wow! enough to feed four as an entrée, the bread was the best I have tasted for dipping ,thickly sliced toasted crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Dips were both tasty, chorizo , feta ,olives and lovely arancini balls with a salad garnish in a beautiful dressing. We were worried we could no fit our main meal in! I decided on the prawn spaghetti this time as I love my seafood and was not disappointed, absolutely scrumptious with a real chilli kick. The wife had the pork belly which she also loved but could not finish due to the entrée. All in all a great meal.

I had lunch at the Currambine tavern with a friend on a weekday. When we arrived and were shown to a table we were just left alone and it wasn't explained that we had to order at the counter. We had difficulty trying to catch someones attention to find this out. The menu only had 2 vegetarian options, one of which was misrepresented. When I ordered the spinach salad, and explained i didn't want it with chicken or prawns as I was vegetarian, and compented that there weren't many options for vegetarians, she didn't even acknowledge my comment verbally but just gave me a rude stare. when the meal arrived it had bacon pieces all through it so i couldn't eat anyway.

Approximate cost: $28

Just got back from our second try at the restaurant there and it was no better than the first time....I had the scallops - all three of them...with two very large crockett potatoes ( Luke warm) topped with a rocket salad......so boring and so expensive for what I got...will NEVER go back

I went here not expecting too much but I was pleasantly surprised, from the moment you reach the front door you are greeted by friendly security who open the door for you. Once seated we were served water straight away and given menus, the place was very busy but it didnt show by the efficient waitstaff and the food was beautifully presented and very tasty.average prices, I think for the quality of the food it was on the mark.will definately go back
