Every time I go to Subiaco, I stop into this little hole in the wall bakery to top up on fresh smoked salmon baguettes, pretzels, and other assorted goodies that this delightful place offers.

This place has the best strawberry tarts I've had in a long time. When I first tried them, they were awesome! Quality has dropped a bit but still good!

Delightful range of goods, ranging from croissants and breads to more elaborate cakes, meringues and profiteroles. A real Perth culinary icon for many years. Many people have had to brave the queue, especially around Christmas, but it is definitely worth it.

Absolutely delicious pastries and cakes. I get the cakes for birthdays and we also used one for our sons christening. Top quality for special occasions.

The pastries here are amazing, fresh and very very tasty. However theyre are far too overpriced. It would also be nice if they had seating and maybe turned it into a cafe.

Hands down the best Patisserie in Perth. Sometimes necessary to brave the queue - but inevitably worth it!

Disclaimer: I worked here for a while quite a few years ago. BUT since then I've been here a lot, with no special prices or perks. It just means I know a lot about the products, and how they're made.

The lunch rolls are really fresh and well-made. There's a big range, with a few different types of roll/sandwich and several varieties of each. The parisiennes are insanely popular but there are other kinds that are a lot more filling. These are all very well priced (around $5-$8).

The pastry is classic and generally perfect, especially the plain croissants. The breads are pretty good but I always found that they go dry and stale very quickly, even when left uncut. (Except for the 100% rye, a dense, moist, lovely brick that gets better with time. I hope they still do it.) The full-size baguettes are ACTUAL full-size baguettes, not like the demi-baguettes that most bakeries insist are full size and price as such. It really pisses me off every time I see this, and the fact that they do proper ones here just seems... well, honorable. These, I think, are the star of their breads. Super-crusty outside, fluffy but not too airy inside.

Pretty good range of large cakes/tarts, and some extra special made-to-order cakes that are exquisite but very expensive. 3+ years ago they also did special occasion croque-en-bouche, not sure if they still do but they were the best I've ever seen.

Service has always been excellent. When I was there JC was always adamant about the "girls" at the front being impeccably friendly, obliging and having close knowledge of product ingredients, and high standards are self-perpetuating.

Very nice staff,, lovely bakery with quality bread and variety pastry and sandwiches.. all you need in a bakery . All the pastry made beautifully with particular technique making it look professional and different. I'm sure it would take a certain process to make one.
