Not really for me. It caters for the bikies out there- failed to realize this from both the name and the crowd until it hit me later.

Cafe Racer has recently changed hands and as a regular patron, I thought I'd note what I have seen so far. The new owners have made a few minor cosmetic changes and they have put up the prices a bit. The prices were already a bit steep, but now at $3.60 for a coffee and $6.50 for 3 pieces of toast, I reckon its a bit much. A few little things have changed too - the bread isn't as good and I preferred the old jams.

But at the end of a ride along Beach Rd, the coffee tastes good, so I'll still keep on gong there.

Approximate cost: $3.60 for a coffee

For those mad cyclists on beach road - this is a must. Great coffee and toast. Recommend trying the rasberry jam.

Cafe Racer makes fantastic coffee and their toast is excellent. I think they use Phillipa's toscano bread for this, but whatever it is, it's something special and definitely worth trying if you haven't already. I go to Cafe Racer regularly on a Saturday morning after riding along Beach Road. There are heaps of cyclists at this time, so if you are not into cycling then there are probably better times to go! They have good looking foccacias too, but I haven't tried these. Just coffee and toast for me every time.

Approximate cost: $0
