This is quite simply the best bakery you will ever get to. Its superbly crafted pastry is absolutely delectable. Can't say enough about it!

I love Bourke St Bakery. Defo get there early enough for the chocolate tarts, creme brulee & chocolate & cherry tarts.
There's always a line for the morning bread & pastries but definitely worth the wait

Everyone raves about this very famous bakery but it really is that good. No one else does that beautiful caramelised pastry as well as them. The sausage rolls are ridicuously good, especially the lamb and harissa one. It's extremely busy - we like to go on a Sunday for brunch and there's always a massive queue. Service is really variable, there are some really friendly guys there but there are others who seem terminally grumpy or hungover or something and that can bring down the atmosphere. A shame but still I'll always keep going there because their stuff is just the best. Not really anywhere to sit, better for takeaway.

This bakery has some of the best bakery food I've ever tasted. Heard about the place by word of mouth and thought people were overrating it but after eating there it is really good. The customer service has to be one of the worst I've seen though, so bad I really feel comfortable in there. Although having said that I'd do anything to get at their Strawberry/creme brulee tarts.. seriously go and buy more than one of them.

their creme burlee tart is a must-try! it's a bit expensive but i'd say it's totally worth it! their gourmet sausage rolls and pies are really nice as well. the shop is too tiny , not a good place to dine in, i prefer their other shops. but the staff are friendly and the service is ok.

WHile the service is a little slow, mainly because so many people are lined up to buy their wonderful coffee and fantastic pies, bread and pastries. You can sit down outside on a carton and drink your coffee and watch the passing parade... love it. The fantastic coffee, bread and pastries make up for the slow service and the prices are high but it is the best quality.

Always an officious out of work actor/staff member barking directions at customers and throwing food into bags. It's like they are all coming down from party drugs. Not dog friendly. Slow Service. Burnt Pastries. High Prices. Try and avoid it!
