Great coffee, friendly staff who remember their regular customers. Coffee is best priced for consistently good coffee that I could find in the area.

Approximate cost: $3.80

I find i become extremely claustrophobic inside as there is no room to move! The food is good and the coffee is great, but some of the waitstaff i find very unpleasant, Being a mother of a young child it is not a place i can easily go to as they are not very child freindly. No highchairs , and the only place to really sit is outside on the footpath where you can have your pram, which in winter is not an option!

Mikailw, there's also a courtyard out the back which you get to from the back laneway. I'm not sure about how weather-proof it is, but they might put up big umbrellas or something when it rains. It also feels a bit more private than sitting out on the front path.

Boucla is such a unique place for Perth. It's a cave that's absolutely filled to the brim with mostly middle eastern bric-a-brac, rugs, incense, artwork... It feels like shisha would be fitting, but unfortunately they don't do it.

The coffee is really impeccable, and they have a good range of well-made, out-of-the-ordinary sweet things to go with it. Prices are what you can expect to pay for such awesomeness and quality, except that the coffees, I believe, are $3, which is almost unheard of in Perth.

The main impression that Boucla always leaves me with is the SMELL – the mixture of coffee beans, musky incense, dustiness and warm, lovely sweets. A really great place for an intimate little get-together, or a solo coffee or 3 with a book, sitting tucked away in the funny little cushion-lined courtyard thing.

I have been told of Boucla for years now for their fantastic coffee, but when I there for dinner for the first time on a Thursday night we were blown away. Nestled at the Southern (more quiet) end of Rokeby lies one of the best Cafes in Subiaco.
A Cafe during the week (exc Sunday), the coffee is sublime created by the Barista. The cakes, slices etc are homemade out the back and magnificent.
On a Thursday Night this end of Rokeby comes alive, the homemade tapas style Greek/Mediterranean delights and soups are terrifically simple , tasty and hearty. The service is friendly and genuine, the atmosphere is pulsing and heaving with life and scents make the mouth water. BYO wine no corkage is almost criminal but gleefully taken advantage of. You can't make bookings so get in around from 7 and you'll get fed, any later and they literally can run out of food as the place is always packed to the gills!
Boucla is extremely busy every day it opens, don't be dismayed...this is for a reason, because it is the best.

Approximate cost: $12
