The dumplings are very nice there, and often a great place to share a few plates of noodles/dumplings/small dishes. Always busy and have to line up for tables during peak time. Unfortunately the last time I went, it is under renovation till end of year. Hope that it will be better after it reopens

The food at Bob's Kitchen is great. The fried noodles and dumplings are extremely popular. I believe this place doesn't open on Mondays but rest of the days they do. Queues are generally long, but an improvement would be adding more tables because it looks quite spacey.

I really love Bob's Kitchen! The food is very nice. However, the tables are too spaced out allowing very long queues on weekends -- especially Sundays or Saturdays when the local school's finish language school. The dumplings and fried noodles are fantastic. I come here again and again, even despite the long queue!

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants. They had THE BEST DUMPLINGS. They taste so good. Like, there's a bit of soup inside the dumplings so when you bit on it, all the soup comes flowing out. It's the best dumplings I've ever eaten. They have a lot of waiters and their service is awesome. Their price is also very cheap and they are very popular.

Many of the waitress do not speak english well so it is not easy to ask further about a certain meal. The fried dumplings and the fried Shanghai noodles are what most meal you would see on the table as you look around. Expect waiting during peak hours.

As other members have mentioned there is a long wait on weekends to get seated but this is because the food is great and popular. Prices are very cheap, I generally order dumplings (15) and shanghai noodles which is enough for two and costs about 16 dollars. Highly recommend.

The service is pretty slow. I had to wait outside or wait on a small bench while i watch other people eat. NONETHELESS, the food is great and its cheap. They give you a lot and the dumplings are yummy!

This small Shanghainese cafe has great food and very reasonably priced. It is normally packed and there is a queue most of the time especially during weekends. Loved their Shanghai fried noodles.

The Shanghainese food is excellent. I recommend the deep-fried dumplings and the Shanghai vegetarian noodles.
Although there was a long queue at peak hours, the crew was very efficient in cleaning the tables to prepare for the next guests.
Prices are reasonable for a family.

Do not think you can reserve a table beforehand as all is first come into the shop first served basis. Upon arriving you normally have to wait 15mins-30mins and sometimes longer depending on peak/offpeak period. The number of chairs in the shop has been reduced by the council so expect longer waiting period and you'll have to share your table of 4 with another couple (we went as a couple). We highly recommend the fried/steamed dumplings, Shanghai fried noodle, DanDan noodle (spicy). Prices are reasonable and cheap, they were having a special the day we went, Soy sauce duck (half) for $12. Allows takeaway but now charges each takeaway box $1. Unlimited free Chinese tea. Only accept cash payment.
