They have this fire in the middle of their restaurant which is a nice touch. It got very busy, and there are not enough car parks. The food was pretty good. I think there are too many tables in the restaurant - too crouded, and we had a pram and had to navigate around the tables as they had sat us right at the back (even though we booked ahead and booked a highchair, so commonsense should have told them we'd probably need a little room).

Approximate cost: $25

The Belair Hotel has a few different dining options - you can order your own meal from the menu, and you can just order the self-serve smorgass board. We opted for the latter, as the price was good and the selection of food/freshness and quality of food looked reasonable. They have a variety of dishes to choose from - roast meats and vegetables, chinese stir fries, salads, and a selection of deep fried options. I stuck with the salad bar for the most part, my boyfriend tried it all though, and was reasonably impressed by the quality.

This restaurant was as expected. The refurbishments were finished and looked good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was ok but nothing that stands out from the rest - I expected a little more from a brand new restaurant.

We went to try out the refurbished Belair Hotel and I was very disappointed with the food. I had roast beef which was tough and the seasoned roast veg were cold and you could not taste the seasoning. The previous restaurant there had very good roast meat and I expected the same. The setting looked very good and modern and impressive but was quite noisy.

Approximate cost: $16.00

I'm with you on this. It opened amid much fanfare but has been disappointing, to say the least.
The food quality is, generally, typical pub fare in a place which presents itself as being a bit classier than that.
The layout is fine but it's damned noisy at peak times. The views, as always, are great and the pokies parlour is out of sight, out of mind.
