My family has been going here for decades. I have to say that I prefer the atmosphere and the food much better before the renovations. The atmosphere was so much better then, there was a lot more space and it was great for family groups.

Now, it is very cramped, with tables and chairs crammed in tightly together. This makes it very hard to move around, especially for disabled people. When we went with my mum for her birthday, we had to leave her mobility aid in a room behind the front bar while two male family members virtually carried her to a seat all the way past the other tables, shuffling sideways. There was absolutely no room between the tables to wheel her through and staff were unable to seat us somewhere accessible (since none seemed to exist). I found it quite embarrassing to be honest.

It is so loud that you cannot hear anyone talk - conversation without shouting is impossible. The food is alright but nothing special or particularly great value. I had a parmigiana which was pretty expensive for a basic pub meal. The service was reasonable and the staff were friendly and apologetic about the problems.

It does have disability permit parking and disability access to the building. However, it was not disability friendly in the dining area when we last dined here. While we would like to go back, the accessibility issue makes it difficult. It would be good if they increased the space between tables and offered takeaway for people who cant get in, in the interim!

I completely agree with your cpmments. It felt like a special outing before the update. It is now just like many other bistro. Not a special occasion to eat out here

We had a wonderful Mother's Day lunch here and would heartily recommend it to others. Awesome service (even though the Bistro was full!) and meals were very generous. Would love to see a vegan menu option, but I managed to alter a vegetarian one. The fish, nasi goreng and chicken schnitty options were all enjoyed by our guests. Please pay the Belair a visit!

I really nice place to come. The setting is nice, the food is good and the drinks are reasonable. The clientèle here is definitely getting younger and the feel is a bit more modern and upbeat then it used to be. They have live music on Fridays which is great and if you go on a Sunday kids eat free!! Worth a visit!

I have been there once since it has been done up and the food was good. The renovations look good. The service was fine.

Since being renovated it's seems more about packing in the crowds. Gone is the homey ambience or the decent service. It's no longer somewhere to sit and chat and enjoy a drink after a meal. Has a very cold feel about the dining room now. Meals are still quite nice though.

I thoroughly agree. It has lost its pleasant atmosphere. In fact, someone I know book expecting the old ways and was very disapointed

I have to agree on this too it feels much more clinical then before. I like the menu and the food still tastes good but it doesnt have the same feel at all.

Belair hotel is lovely, modern and spacious since being renovated. The menu has been revamped and has a large range of meals. In winter the wood fires are lovely and create a cosy atmosphere. Meals are always good and staff are very friendly. They have good children's activity and sticker books to keep the kids amused.

We visited this restaurant on a trip to visit my parents in Adelaide. My fiance would not stop raving about the restaurant after we got home to Central Queensland, so we visited it again on our last trip. The atmosphere and food are great.

I went on a Wednesday night and it was extremely busy - so busy that the dining room was full and very noisy. Food was a little on the expensive side, but enjoyable none the less

Fabulous - we turned up for dinner. We rang beforehand and we were told it was all booked out, however if we turn up after 7.30pm they would find us a table if we didn't mind waiting. We only waited 10 minutes!! excellent. This pub has had a recent makeover and it is A1++++ The food was served promptly and was absolutely delicious. I will go again.
