Best French restaurant at Brisbane north-side I think. We went there a few times now and have always enjoyed the food and the professional service. It's not cheap but they do often run specials, so worth give it go if you enjoy fine dinning.

My friend and I decided to try something a bit special one weekend. We came to this French Restaurant which was quite fully booked for dinner, but they were able to let us have an early dinner; and informed us of the time that we have to finish our meals there due to the high turnover (which I can totally understand). I ordered the beef cheeks with mash potato. It was very filling, but the sauce was a bit too heavy for me. My friend's pork fillet dish looked great with the different colored vegetables on it. The prices were on the high side. Though we already expected that before getting there, we were hoping to get a nice seafood meal with the similar prices. Anyway, good to have experienced some fine dining once in a life time!

We had a memorable experience at Baguette on Friday evening - three course meal and our first time at this well established French restaurant. The escargo were done with care - interestingly came with some small fried chicken pieces (little piece of bone with one of those, which was not great). We had the lamb and the beef for our mains, which were extremely well done. Bone marrow with the steak was a great touch, as was the potatoes (triple cooked, I think). The creme brulee for dessert was large enough for two and was exceptional. Drinks were very good, with the service first class. Sure, it isn't cheap, but it is French, well executed and in a great location.

Had heard about this Brisbane "Icon" so when we found ourselves outside, we decided to check it out. One bottle of cider and one glass of bubbles cost more than an average meal for one. However we watched a number of well dressed diners wandering in so after discovering it was ialso n the Entertainment Book we decided to join them. The very limited lunch selection promised some authentic French dishes and as a Francophile I chose the Beefcheek Bourgignon, Husband chose Duck and Daughter, recovering from surgery, chose just an entree of clams. We shared a cheese platter for desert (over $20!). Unfortunately the food, while enjoyable was rather disappointing, especially the duck which was rather dry. My own Boeuf Bourgignon is just as good as the $38 dish I received. If we hadn't got one meal for free thanks to the Entertainment Book, we would have been very disappointed with the high prices for quite unexceptional fare.

A friend had her wedding reception here and it could not have been a better venue. The quality of the food was amazing, although I can't comment if it's like that for regular dining or just for functions.

Regardless, staff were very attentive and kept drink orders refilled. Waiters were knowledgeable about the food they were serving, and instantly able to answer questions about ingredients for those with special diets.

I'd like to go back and compare how the venue is when it's not a special occasion but I was very impressed with what I have experienced so far

Fabulous Food, experienced & professional staff, excellent wine list. I have been going for many many years and am never disappointed. We love it also becuase they embrace children - which is rare for a great restaurant.

We like to dine here regularly. If ever you wanted to try this fine dining bistro which has won many awards now is a great time to do so. At present their special 3 course shared platters ($45 each) are offered. Each one representing a different region of French cooking styles. The two we have eaten so far have been absolutely delicious. Both cooked and presented perfectly by the friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. The
decor is typical bistro style and a touch class. Can't wait to go to the next
platter dinner.

I've dined at Baguette about 3 or 4 times and each time the food has been impeccable! It is a fine dining experience, so a little more expensive, but absolutely superb french food. Last time we went there was a gorgeous pate or terrine on the menu which is still making my mouth water. We have found the service to be great generally, with well trained waiters.

The last time we went the waiter has a giggle when my husband told him that our cat had died that day, needless to say, my husband wasn't impressed. But other than that experience, it has been fantastic service!

We will be back for more special occasions in the future!

We've dined here twice and had exceptional service both times. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Dishes were delicious, although a tad on the more expensive side. Overall, a brilliant night out! Great atmosphere, too.
