I have never tasted African food before and this is the first time I went to one. I do t think I'm a fan of African food, the experience I had with the dish here was really weird.
Approximate cost: $20
The vegetarian platter here is excellent. Lots of flavour and variety. VERY cheap. Meat (lamb) was a bit tough. Food portions are small (as I have experienced at all Ethiopian restaurants) but there is a lot of injera bread to eat the dishes with, so you always go home full.
Approximate cost: $16
very different foods. taste good, recommend it to everyone. if you are looking for a different taste then here it is. the prices are quite affordable and meals are good sized and tastes good.
The service was friendly and it was interesting to try African beer but the food was disappointing. My partners dish arrived lukewarm and I found a pebble in mine! Of the three juices available there was only one in stock on a Thursday night. Portion sizes were also very small for the price we were charged. Despite ordering two mains we were both so hunger that we went to another place nearby to eat more...
This restaurant was my first taste of Ethiopian food. The waitress was very friendly and helped us to order. The food was very nice and it was an enjoyable experience eating without cutlery, instead using the Injera bread to pick up the food to eat. There is a selection of beers imported directly from Ethiopia to go with your meal as well, I tried the St George and the Harar. Ordering one dish per person was more than enough for the 5 people at our table with plenty of bread being provided to us to accompany the dishes.
Approximate cost: $10/meat dish
