I find the staff to be very friendly and they genuinely care about your pet. The are also very helpful over the phone when you're not sure about something, they will offer advice/suggestions without trying to get you in to pay first. There are probably chepaer vets closer to where I live, but will continue to go here as my experiences so far have all been positive..

This is a conveniently located Vet practise in the heart of Altona and right next to the railway line if you don't have a car. There is plenty of parking out the front and the premises are airy and clean.

The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful when I came in asking about the special diet my cat needs. They had this in stock at around the same price as I usually get it, but didn't have time to go to my own vet which is further away. This was the Royal Canin Urinary Diet for just over $30 for a bag.

They have a large stock of all the types of special foods plus toys in the waiting area.

I was greeted by one of the vets who offered some advice on the type of food to feed my cat.

They offer many services as well as the usual vet treatment - kitten adoption, puppy school, self-serve hydrobath, grooming, and they are a drop off point for a boarding place which would be convenient.

So, although I haven't taken an animal here, I probably would have confidence to do so as all seemed helpful and nice.

Twice now I have booked a dog in for dental work and on both occasions they have called the day before to say it cant be done because their equipment is not available. Very inconvenient if you have already planned a day at home (leave or work form home) to get dogs dropped off at the correct time, and no real consideration given to this circumstance just "oh well you will need to do it next week." I also thought their prices were ok until I went somewhere else and realised the dental work (just a clean) was almost $95 cheaper with all the same things listed on the receipt. Have now changed vets totally and am very happy with the new ones, they give advice for free and do not over charge when charging is needed.
