We had a great lunch at Al Porto Vecchio Restaurant in Williamstown. The steak in the steak sandwich was tender. The fish was very nice and a very fresh salad was served. Offering various choices and good value for money. Thank you Susan b

Went there for a late lunch yesterday, had their wood oven pizza, margarita, Capricciosa and their Al Porto Special, omg it was disgusting, the Capriccoisa had mushrooms on one half of the pizza and two olives, the Al Porto Special also had minimal ingredients on it, and the hot salami wasn’t spicy at all, well the Margarita you really can’t go wrong with just cheese, it was ok, they were all very tasteless, it looked like they were just slapped together with no care, they actually tasted like the frozen pizzas you get a Coles.
They pride themselves to provide a true taste of Italy with modern twist, it wasn’t that at all.
The actual restaurant itself was dirty the table was sticky we sat in the back, had to call for service several times, the toilets were disgusting , very dirty the hand wash was diluted with water, come on guys your website looks nothing like you guys promise. I will definitely not return to eat here again. Can make my own pizzas at home that taste a lot more better, save your money.

Went with a group of people for a farewell function - around 15 and had a very pleasant meal here. Service a little slow (maybe inexperienced?) at times but it's a nice location and the atmosphere is great. Large range of menu to choose from including Italian of course and I had a lasagne which was quite good (not stunning) but large and $14 so certainly got money's worth. Other items include shanks, parmas, steak sandwiches, warm chicken salad and pizzas of course.

A range of foods was ordered and most seemed happy with their choices. Wine and beer is available but maybe a bit pricey. I stuck to soft drink. Lovely chance to walk around this picturesque street (watch out for the pay parking at meters though) opposite the gardens and water and there's always all those wonderful ice cream shops for dessert. Oh my goodness!
Would come here again to try something different, maybe with the rest of the family, - they seem to offer lunch time specials.

Al Porto Vecchio is a good place to go in Williamstown for a casual mid week dinner. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxed. The meal sizes are fantastic- you will never leave hungry. They have great $12 deals, which include chicken parma. Where else in Williamstown can you get a massive plate of food for $12? Would recommend, but only if you're after something casual. The service is okay, but you get what you pay for!

A group of 6 of us went to Al Porto Vecchio and liked the size of the place, almost like a house but still restauranty but sadly the food was disappointing. Overcooked meat, salty carbonara sauce, chicken parma that would have been better if bought from a pub for $10. Visually the meals were not appealing.

We were in the area and were looking to find somewhere casual for lunch. All three of us were undecided as we could not make up our minds what we felt like eating! LOL

We came across this restaurant and saw the specials board offering a range of meals for $12 and steak for $14.

We took a chance on this restaurant and sat at an outside table so we can enjoy the sun.

Our waitress was polite and efficient, greeting us upon arrival and bringing menus.

I ordered steak with mushroom sauce which came with vegies and my lunch companions both ordered chicken parmigiana (which had fries and salad I believe from memory).

I have to admit it was a very good value meal and the quality of the food itself quite nice. You would expect to pay double that price for meals elsewhere! The portions were decent and no one was hungry afterwards.

In all fairness and compliment to the restaurant, the parmigiana was chicken breast (as it should be!!) and was tender.

The steak was a generous size and cooked medium to well done as I had requested.

Definitely am happy to recommend this restaurant for the special meal prices if you are after something not too expensive for a meal.

Went here for a Public Holiday lunch, and was pleasantly surprised that they had lunch specials available for $12. My partner and I both had a lovely salad which was sizeable, the chicken was great, and we were quite content afterwards. The service was excellent. There was a minor issue with one of the meals, and the staff resolved the issue with little fuss, which was appreciated. We'd definitely go back, especially with the way they handled the issue.

Approximate cost: $12.00
