One of my favourite cafes in inner Melbourne. I must say I miss the old school seaside theming that used to be more prevelant especially the seahorse door handles, but it still maintains a lively vibe, good food and fast service.

I used to live in Melbourne, and still regularly visit the old haunts.

Whilst St. Kilda has gone downhill from the beautiful hub it once was, the Galleon has not. I couldn't believe this lovely, vibrant place still exists - the last time I went here was 10 years ago!

Their food is just as good as it always was.

I had their bubble and squeak with a sausage, and I felt full for the rest of the morning - so hearty and delicious, it made me so happy!

Oh, how I wish this cafe was in Adelaide.

I've come to Galleon a few times for the eggs benedict, just add avocado and you are set for the day. It's also all days breakfast menu, even better! More important than the eggs, the coffee is great.

There is nothing pretentious about this place (including the clientele, staff and music). Spot on for a great breakfast in the area.

Love the galleon, best breakfast in st kilda! I'd love to see some new items on the menu though; I've been going for years and haven't seen change to the vegetarian menu - except for the specials board. Staff are great, coffee is spot on and food is fantastic, every time.

I have been eating here for years and am a bit hesitant to write this (the wait for a table can already be quite long). That's always a sign of how great a place is though, I guess.

Great produce, funky menu, huge servings and great coffee!

I've never had a bad meal here.

Approximate cost: $15

This place has it all, the only problem is that everyone knows about it. Like another reviewer said, get in early because it can be quite a wait.

The eggs have always been nice and runny, the galleon burger is delicious. The soy chai latte is one of the best I've ever had.

It's a cute place and everyone is really nice and friendly.

Approximate cost: $approx. $20

The Galleon cafe is a st kilda institution. Get in quick on a weekend, as the wait can be long for such a highly desired place to eat breakfast from locals and non locals. Food is of a high standard, and the atmosphere is pretty cool. Would definitely return

The Gal is a legend. It has retained its charm and good vibe for decades now. Spanakopita is a must, as are the salads and burger options. Expect big portions with great quality and decent prices.

Approximate cost: $12

Great atmosphere and coffee. Always busy on a weekend. For me the gluten free truffle and coffee is enough, my friends the galleon burger - yum. Awesome location.

Popular place run by a group of capable women. I used to love their porridge but it is not the same as it once was. Pity. Very retro looking place.

Approximate cost: $12
