We find the staff to always be friendly, however, the fruit is hit and miss with quality. I'm not sure why but the fruit seems to rot from the inside out, like it's been frozen beforehand. The nectarines have little taste. The vegetables are ok, however the carrots have large cracks in them sometimes, The avocadoes also have large brown areas inside even though they are firm. We have noticed the quality change from 12mths ago and hopefully things will improve.

Guys, been coming here for 2 decades and have received EXCELLENT Customer Service each and every time.
And I always manage to snag the best bargains to boot - WIN WIN All round.
Thankyou so Much.
However, today (Saturday 2 October @ 12pm'ish) I was treated like the scum of the earth /a 2nd Class Citizem by a young man who has no idea of what it takes to be in Customer Service.
I did speak politely & pleasantly to him and the Manager in Charge.
The Manager was most embarrassed and apologised.
BUT but I do believe this needs to go further.
Very, very disappointing, Fruit Shack.
I am expecting a phone-call or reply ASAP.
And at the least, a written apology from the young man in question.

Always a great range of fruit and vegies here, sometimes they can be a little picked over, but generally really good. Have there weekly specials, and they are already a lot cheaper than the supermarket.

large shop with a huge variety of produce to choose from at dirt cheap prices...the majority of it is great quality but some things you need to pick through to find the freshest quality... the staff are lovely and helpful they even offered to help me carry my box to the car...well worth a look in

The Fruit Shack always has great prices, but the quality of their products is sometimes low. There is often fruit that has gone off in the fruit bins, and badly bruised items. They also don't offer EFTPOS, which has caught me out a few times.

I've wondered what they are like when I drive past but the parking always seems to awkward to have made the stop. Don't like the sound of the off fruit so appreciate the review.

Fantastic fruit & vegie shop in Belmont. Prices are often half the price of Coles. I once bought pears here for 19c a kilo! Quality is ok, some produce is possibly 'B grade', but who cares about a few spots on their apples as long as they still taste good? Great range including fresh milk, eggs, honey & bread. The only downside is that they only take cash, which is a bit of a pain if you load up your basket, wait in the line and then realise you're all out! Support your local small businesses and save loads of money too!

This store is great and I always try to get my fruit and veg from there. The prices are very reasonable (much better than supermarket prices) and they have a great range. It's always easy to find what you're looking for, and just as easy to ask the staff to point you in the right direction. They're always well stocked and fresh.

Overall much better than supermarket prices and freshness. For example broccoli purchased here lasts much better than from the supermarket and can be about $2 per kg less. Some stock might be slightly blemished (such as apples or pears), but it still tastes great.

A wide variety of fruit and vegetables that are fresh and so very cheap. My favorite place to shop.
