Raw Sugar does a reasonable coffee and they have a pretty good range of takeaway cakes and sandwiches. When I've chosen to dine in instead of take away it hasn't been particularly good, they tend to prioritise the takeaway orders so when eating in you wait much longer.

This review is for Tosolinis, Civic Square ACT

Tosolini's is nicely located in the middle of the CBD. They have all the regular Italian pastas and pizzas and a few more interesting dishes as well. Their freshly made gnocchi is light and very tasty and is a large enough serving to have as a main. Prices are a little high for what you get but it is still great food and a lovely restaurant.

Went here late at night after a movie as they are open 24/7. As it was a Saturday they were super busy and had a line out the door but they were moving customers in and out quickly so we didn't wait long. Huge range of pancakes and drinks and really funky restaurant atmosphere. Defiantly going to revisit.

This review is for Paparazzi, Garran ACT

verified email - 20 Feb 2015

Paparazzi is sweet little cafe located at the local Garran shops. They do a simple breakfast and lunch menu as well as cakes and coffee. Their lunch wraps are very tasty and a generous size. They have several options suitable for kids, my son loved their Pizza style wrap with lots of pineapple, ham and cheese. They make great iced coffees that aren't too sweet and have a strong coffee flavour. The outdoor seating area is quite large and the shops have nice trees so it's very comfortable and inviting.

This review is for Paragon, Goulburn NSW

Whenever I'm in Goulburn for the night I love to get a pizza here for dinner. They are a really generous size and they don't skimp on the toppings. Tuesday nights they are half price but they get busy with the locals so best to phone in your order before pick up. They also have a large menu of other options but their pizzas are hard to beat.

This review is for The Brother's Oven, Greenway ACT

This is a great little cafe just outside of the Tuggeranong mall. They make really good coffee (and have a good loyalty program for regulars) and specialise in their pies (which they also have a rewards program for). There's indoor and outdoor seating and very polite staff. I would definitely recommend their quiches as they always taste fresh and creamy. Well priced as a bonus.

This review is for St John Ambulance Service, Deakin ACT

I did a Caring For Kids first aid course here, it's not a qualification course (as in one for a resume etc) it is a purely an educational course. The course ran over 2 days and was excellent. The fee covered the course, tea/coffee, first aid book and also came with a coupon for a first aid kit purchase. The instructor was patient and there was lots of hands on learning including children & baby CPR dummies. All in all a great, well run course.

This review is for Jamie's Italian, Sydney NSW

verified email - 18 Feb 2015

We went to Jamie's for our New Year's Eve dinner, naturally we booked ahead and we weren't surprised to see that it was totally full. We received our drinks very quickly (cocktails from the separate bar) and our entree came within just a few minutes. The meat plank to share was great and the waitress gave us a run down of all the meats and cheeses. Mains were tasty, though they didn't have much in the way of vegetables. The polenta chips were the best I've ever had. Definitely want to revisit and try their dessert menu. The restaurant itself has a great vibe and has a small section of Jamie's merchandise such as cookbooks, aprons etc.

This review is for Inner South Veterinary Centre, Narrabundah ACT

verified email - 18 Feb 2015

I've been taking my pets to Inner South for several years now as have some others in my family. All of the vets there are incredible and so knowledgeable. They are really personal and make a genuine connection with the animals they look after. Louise who I went to with my pet rat a few times was so kind and did everything she could. Sadly my rat had to be put down and Inner South handled this beautifully, they were very kind and gentle about the whole process. Louise even sent a card to my home afterwards expressing her condolences. They are wonderful vets and have great facilities.

This review is for The Pancake Parlour, Canberra ACT

verified email - 18 Feb 2015

Pancake parlour is a fun place to take kids but I wouldn't recommend it for anything else. The menu is pretty pricey for not very big serves and service can be lacking in speed. That being said my son and nephew love to go here and it's a great treat for them. The giant chess set and carnival mirrors keep them out of trouble and let me sit and have a quiet coffee while they entertain themselves. The sweet pancakes are good but the savoury options can be disappointing in flavour.
