decided to make a booking with this hair salon due to reading the previous reviews on google. Oh my, It was one big mistake. I requested for a balayage hair service that cost $582. I provided the hairstylist with two images that I desired and the stylist responded with confidence that it was possible and it would all be good.

4 hours later, looking in the mirror, it was not even close to what I wanted or presented to the hairstylist. I was very irritated and asked them to show the back of my hair. They ignored my request and initiated with curling my hair. I ask them to stop and show me the back of my hair. They ignored me and continued to curl my hair. I felt like they were trying to hide it from me, all I wanted was to see the back. They kept responding and affirming that it was beautiful, looks good, a great service, etc. The finished product did not look anything similar to what I presented and requested. They just wouldn’t listen to what I wanted, advising it “suited my skin tone”. I didn’t ask them to advise about my skin tone, but to deliver a service I requested. For some reason, they thought I was happy with the service. I was actually nearly in tears and so disappointed. I requested that they fix my hair and booked for the next day. The following day, after trying to fix my hair, nothing had changed. They didn’t do anything I requested. They kept affirming that it looks wonderful and suited my skin color. I was so disappointed that I paid so much for such a bad service. One of the staff members took me outside to explain that it was the best they can do. The staff member said that due to my hair being a dark color, it was not possible to achieve what I requested. I ask them why they didn't advise in the first place about not being able to achieve the images presented. The staff member stated that I needed to come back for a few more sessions. I have already been charged a fortune and the service was so bad. They said there was nothing I can do.

I went off basically in tears and told my husband. My husband decided to speak on my behalf. He’s 5 foot 6 with a very low monotone voice and requested to speak to the manager. One of the staff members requested we speak outside the store.

Firstly, she was so condescending to us - she put her palm up to my husband's face to shhh him and stated he was “too aggressive”, I can’t believe she played the “aggressive card”.

Secondly, my husband asked kindly if he could speak to her. She was so condescending. My husband told her that we had a great job completed in Sydney, she was being a smart a#se and laughed at our face and told us to go back to Sydney. We were shocked, during this current world pandemic, we couldn’t return or travel interstate. Also, we have friends and close ones affected by this pandemic, so it was quite sensitive to us. My husband replied that it was inappropriate to say such a thing.

Furthermore, my husband was trying to voice my opinion by stating that I hated my hair and it made me look and feel old. She started trying to give us counseling service by saying “that relationship is between you and your wife, how you look at her, etc” We didn’t ask for any counseling service.

Finally, she tried to reaffirm that when I left the hair salon I was very happy about the finished product - I really don’t understand how they receive those signals. She didn’t want to resolve the issue and decided to walk away. This was such an unprofessional way to communicate with customers. I had a very bad experience with this hair salon and the finished product and service are below expectations.
