Came here for lunch and was somewhat disappointed. The place has decent food but for a sailing club I was expecting a little more class and a more modern setting, it felt like being in a RSL.

The cocktails here are fantastic! They taste delicious however they are very expensive. The place has a very elegant and romantic feel with wood and soft candlelight, and it is small so it feels very intimate. Highly recommend for somewhere with a bit more flare than the standard pub.

This café is downstairs from my work and is fantastic! I don't drink tea or coffee so I am only here occasionally for a hot chocolate but they are perfect every time. The staff are also very friendly and have a chat while you are waiting. There is also a large sit-down area but I have not yet tried the food.

A very large and formal venue with a cheesery, wine tastings, a burger bar and a few restaurants (including Thai and Japanese). The view is absolutely stunning. I was hoping for a more intimate experience so we did not stay long at this particular winery but it was very beautiful.

The only club in Canberra that I can say has a "Sydney feel". It's dark and chic and has a huge dance floor, but every time I have been there the place has sticky floors from people spilling drinks, and there is a lot of creeps there. There is also an entry fee as well FYI.

I changed gyms because I moved and the commute was getting a bit hard. I was hesitant at first but after meeting with the staff I am very happy I made the switch. It is an open layout gym with new equipment and is very clean. They give you a complimentary fitness assessment and work out plan, and you can choose to get a personal trainer if you want, but they don't hassle like Fitness First trainers do. It is also 24 hours so you can work out whenever you want! Brilliant.

My boyfriend and I went here to try somewhere new because we love Italian food (who doesn't?). We both had simple spaghetti bolognaise and it was great. They make the pasta from scratch and it had a very rich flavour, and extremely fresh. We liked it so much we ordered pizza from there the following night. In saying that, the service was kind of lacking - there was a lot of business men and women and we felt we were being overlooked so that they could get the best service.

This place is absolutely stunning. Dark, chic lighting with a huge bar. The cocktails here are amazing but do pack a punch so I'm careful not to have more than one or two. The staff are very friendly and it's a trendy place to have drinks and some food without loud, obnoxious music.

My boyfriend and I decided to celebrate our anniversary with wine tastings in the Hunter Valley and this was the first place we went to after doing some research online. This place did not disappoint - it has a beautiful cottage style feel with lots of grass and flowers, it is clearly well looked after. We had a tasting of about 8 different wines, accompanied with a beautiful mini platter of cheese, crackers and other nibbles. The girl who went through the tasting with us was really lovely and made the experience complete for us. I ended up buying a bottle of wine but we plan on ordering more online at some stage because we both agreed they were the best tasting wines of the three wineries we went too.

My boyfriend and I met a couple here for a few drinks to catch up. This bar is absolutely stunning - open layout with a large outdoor area (which is non-smoking). We sat on some lounges and had a few drinks (beer for the guys and wine for the girls) which tasted fantastic. The staff were friendly and the decor was very sophisticated and chic.
