This isn't really a place you might happen to pass by normally - you need to be looking for it. It's buried in an alleyway - have a look at google maps so you know in advance how to get there. I went around lunch time and managed to get seats, but it was around full capacity the entire time. So it's busy enough, but it wasn't horribly so (probably because of its hidden location).

Predominantly a bagel place, with multiple types of bagels (plain, poppy seed, sesame seed, multi grain from memory). Their menu consists of various open/closed bagels, soup (with bagel), or salad (probably not with bagel because that would defeat the point of ordering a salad, I imagine) -- but if you get in before 12 you can order the baked eggs (comes with a bagel).

The baked eggs have pesto, cherry tomatoes and feta in them and cost $13. For an additional $3 you can choose to add either salmon or chorizo. Our table had all 3 and everyone enjoyed them!

The open bagels also looked amazing! They put the toppings on both sides of the bagel. Will likely try one of these next time.

I have to also tell you - they split bills!! You can pay for your parts of the bill (cash or card) and they just mark it off the bill. I was so happy about this - most places won't let you.

The food is a little pricey here, but it's yummy. And so pretty to look at. They have a display of cakes as you walk in the entrance, and then a huge display of little treats (single portions of cakes, various biscuits, little chocolates, etc). In the adjoining room, the have a cafe/restaurant where you can purchase more substantial food. Their cannelloni was excellent - the bechamel sauce is so tasty! The pizzas and sandwiches also look great.

So incredibly loud. The place is small, it gets packed and everyone is chatting loudly because they can't hear each other over everyone else's conversations. As a venue I did not like it. It feels like they meant it to be one of those hidden gems in the city, but not very hidden when everyone knows about it.

Drinks are drinks, so not much to comment on there, except that they were pricey enough. You want to aim for when they have specials. Apparently they're doing $2.50 pints of Carlton Draught and Bulmers Mon-Thurs between 3-5pm.

They have $5 pizzas Tuesday nights, but we didn't bother - my friends have had them before and apparently the wait is pretty long (which is fair considering how busy they are).

The sushi was nice enough. Had some brown rice sushi when I went. There is a good amount and variety of seating - some bar stools across the window and some benches with seats.

This place doesn't look very big - but there is a fair bit of variety (some things you won't find locally) and the prices aren't bad considering the city location! The owner is very helpful - he will happily give you advice for your costume, or get things in for you if he doesn't have them.

Three tables inside - so you'd want to be taking your food home. Quite a lot of options - your usual fish and chips shop food (fish, burgers, souvlakis), but some interesting additions - a fish souvlaki, veggie souvlaki, deep fried mars bars..

Prices are okay. I usually get grilled fish - they use a fair bit of oil though, even when 'grilling'. It's nice fish - not the best I've had, but good enough for me to go there regularly.

I sometimes share a burger (not because they're big, but because I like to eat half a burger and half a fish - best of both worlds, hehe). They're a pretty good size. The buns are soft. I personally like buns crunchier/crusty on the outside and soft on the inside - this is soft all over. My friend likes buns soft, so she likes the burgers here. The burger with the lot is nice (beef burger, cheese, tomato, lettuce, onion, bacon, egg and tomato sauce, if i recall correctly).

The fish burger wasn't that great for me - fairly bland and mushy. Might have been because it only has fish, lettuce and mayo in it - probably would taste nicer with tomato or something with a crunch?

The potato cakes and chips are pretty bad. Especially the chips. They taste like they've been sitting there for hours - but you see them being cooked 'fresh', so obviously not.. Go next door to the chicken shop for chips instead (see my reviews).

I've only had two things here: the greek salad and the chips. I usually get these in combination with grilled fish from the fish and chips shop next door.

The greek salad isn't bad, but a bit chunkier than I would had made it. Unfortunately they tend to run out of salad or remove it a little before closing time (I eat dinner late haha). Also the small is fairly small and too expensive. For the dollar or so extra, you'd go the medium.

The chips are decent. Fairly big servings, and they cook them to order so they are always very hot. They overfill the foam containers, so they won't close in the plastic bag which can be bad if you're not eating them for a little while - they get soggy (steam + plastic). So make sure to eat a couple and then close the container up! Roughly $4.50 for a small, $5.50 for a medium and $6.50 for a large?

Small shop on Queen street, they sell sandwiches, soups, and other various things (I saw a lasagna and some interesting salads). Had a nice toasted sandwich here. Unfortunately their coffee was pretty bad.

The below review was fairly comprehensive, but just adding that they also have a red bull flavoured yoghurt! Love this place, they gave out free samples when they opened last year.

Great pizza, smells really good inside the store and you can watch them make it at the counter. I take away since I don't live too far away and they get pretty busy.

$20 for a large pizza is a bit expensive for pizza, but if you want decent pizza in the city you pay that bit extra I guess!
