I engaged Territory Tanks to install an interconnected two tank (rectangular) solution where Tank 2 was slightly downhill from Tank 1. Tank 1 is fed from the roof and supplies the water to Tank 2 via the ground level interconnection pipe. Therefore, the water level in both tanks rise and fall together. The installed equipment appears to be of good quality. The quality of the installation of the individual components and the interconnection pipe also appear good. However, there are two significant issues underpinning my rating. An overflow pipe on Tank 2 was not planned as Tank 1 was the inlet and overflow tank. However, I have found that the roof of Tank 2 is 5cm lower than the lowest point of overflow outlet mouth on Tank 1. Therefore, Tank 1 and 2 will overflow (with no control) out through the unused inlet in the Tank 2 roof and the Tank 1 overflow pipe will never see water... Checking this kind of mismatch should have been done before the tanks were ordered. It is now an issue that I have to exception manage with ball valves in the interconnection pipe as there is no stormwater drain near Tank 2. It is a good thing I specifically asked for the ball values....
The second issue is the whoefully poor communication during the several days of the job. We were not contacted to be provided a quick summary of the job progress or to advise that nobody was coming out on a given day. We were left in the dark. When I called Steve to request an update I felt I was treated like a problem rather than a paying customer.
