David Jones sometimes has great specials on beauty products. I once bought some Burt's Bees hair and skin care items for a great price. The store is large, with a huge variety of clothing, footwear and other household items. When there are sales, the products are often a good buy.
I like coming to Myer to browse through the items they have on sale. The prices are reasonable, but I would only buy some of the clothes or shoes if the price has been reduced, as the normal price is often inflated. However, the quality of the clothing and shoes is in general higher than a lot of other stores.
I come to Kmart mainly to get stationary or basic items of clothing. Their prices are competitive, and when they have things on sale, the prices are really low.
I like how the queue for purchasing items has become streamlined, so that people are not standing in different queues being held up by those with many items. It's much faster to buy things in Target now (as opposed to other department stores). They have all the basic clothing items you'd need. I go there to get beach items or stationary. They have a good selection of DVD's as well, and they are easy to browse through.
I go into Sportsgirl to browse the items they have. Most of it is priced at least twice more than I would actually pay for them, but occasionally they will have sales on things that I would buy. The shop has a nice layout, and items are easy to find. It's a nice window shopping experience.
Valleygirl usually has reasonable prices on basic and trendy clothing items and accessories. They often have sales where clothes are significantly reduced in price. The quality of the material and the workmanship isn't of the highest quality, but you get what you pay for. I bought a good quality pair of jeans from Valleygirl which were on sale for $20. I would have bought them at a slightly higher price, so I'm happy with my purchase.
I go here a few times a year with family. The food is delicious, and reasonably priced. The food is not too greasy or salty for me, and they have a wide selection of dishes.
The IGA in Oakhill is conveniently located, but the prices are not as low as in the major supermarkets like Coles and Woolworths. I only go there if they have specials, and only for those products on special.
I've been to Belmonte's a couple of times over the last several years. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the food is tasty. However, I would only go if I had a voucher offering 25% off, as in the entertainment book. The prices are not the best value.
I think Officeworks has everyday low prices on stationary and digital products. I sometimes buy printer ink from them in the value packs (Epson). Occasionally you can find bargain products, although you don't always need these.
