Well worth a visit, but not the easiest place to find - follow the signs. Dave & Jenny Clifford have been producing honey from Ligurian bees for 30 years and know what they are doing. They have a lovely establishment with free honey tastings, lots of goodies to purchase including honey mead, honey drinks, biscuits, wax products, cosmetics and local crafts. The prices for these item is very competitive. Check out this place first for KI produce as it will be less expensive than elsewhere.
We wandered into their self-guided display area, found it very interesting and well laid out, and learnt a lot about the bees and honey making process. There is a small kids play corner in this area. (An enclosed playground is near the entrance to the building.)
We could not leave without purchasing and sampling the home-made honey ice-cream. It was yummy and while eating it we enjoyed our chat with Jenny.
We purchased some honey and ginger drinks (non-alcoholic) for $5.50 each.

This is a very dated motel, but the location is wonderful, as it is close to the beach, jetty and shopping. We stayed here for 6 nights at a cost of $750, and were very relaxed. The managers Bryan and Denise were very welcoming (as were their two cats) and helpful with information about the island. The grounds were lovely with large gums trees and palms. However they were in need of some work. There is an indoor pool which was lovely, though its surroundings needed some maintenance. We were able to swim at whatever time we desired. Our room was also in need of some maintenance, but was adequate and clean. Internet photos do not match the property's condition. At $125 per night it was okay. In hindsight should have booked something a little more expensive and nicer.
Evidently the motel has been purchased by a Chinese company and it is planned to demolish and redevelop the site.

On our first night we decided to try the bistro at this hotel on the seafront. Though we did not have a reservation we were warmly welcomed and shown to a table. The bistro was very busy but the service was outstanding. The menu was varied but the prices were a bit expensive. We ordered a starter of basil pesto and parmesan bread ($7.50) which was delicious. My main course was roast pork belly ($28). This is one of my favourites but was quite bland and not crispy skinned, which was a disappointment. My husband had the linguine seafood pasta ($29). He was expecting pasta with seafood mixed into it. However the pasta came with mussels, prawns, oysters, and a full crab, all in their shells. Though he enjoyed the taste he said it was very fiddly and if he had known how it was served that he would have ordered something else. There were less expensive items eg chicken burger on the menu. As there are very little eating places in Kingscote I would recommend one meal at this hotel.

A lovely small distiller of hand-crafted premium gin and liqueurs. (They were awarded Australian Champion Gin in 2016.) This is a delightful cellar door, where you are greeted with warm and friendly hospitality. We were offered free samplings of all of their drinks. Neither of us are gin drinkers but the assortment of liqueurs was marvelous and delicious. The samples were generous and we were offered some mixers to enhance some of them. We purchased a 375ml bottle of Nocino (made from green walnuts) at a cost of $50. It was really yummy and quite different to anything we had previously sampled.
A few days later we returned (and were recognised and greeted). I tried the gin, but it was not to my taste. We ordered an affogato each and were shown to a lovely little spot in the garden. When our ice-creams were delivered we relished them, took in the relaxing surrounds and totally unwound.
We fully recommend anyone going to Kangaroo Island to drop into this cellar door.

We used this company again for another security door. The quote was competitive, the time from order to install was very short, and the quality was excellent. The service by the office staff, the person who did the measure and quote, and installer was exceptional (above and beyond). We will use this company again and fully recommend them.

We like that this began as a small South Australian internet provider and has grown over the years. We have been with them for our internet needs for about 5 years and about 3 years for our home phone on a voice over internet phone. Unfortunately our phone line drops out on a regular basis and we are unaware of this until we try to make a call or a friend advises that they have been trying to contact us. This is very frustrating. Another problem is that with the line down we can only contact them on the mobile, and with the waiting time, sometimes up to 30 minutes) that we (and other family) experience this is frustrating, expensive. I believe with a communications company completely unnecessary. Once you are connected to someone they are amazing. They will recall you immediately to save you the call cost and work with you until the problem is fixed. I just wish there was some way to email them and they call you back.
Apart from that we will continue to use them because when things are going well it is good - with a good product and price.

As our evaporative air conditioner was covered by this company for our warranty services we were obliged to use them. Our warranty has now expired and we continue with this company, both for our home and our rental property. They are very efficient, both in the booking service (although it can be very abrupt) and the on-site job. They explain the service and offer recommendations, eg new filters will be required – next year. (Not eager to get every dollar from you.) The technicians are all nice guys – you feel comfortable with them in your home. The service charges are a bit more than average, but at the beginning of the season they offer discounts by email – definitely worthy organising at this time.

This review is for People's Choice Credit Union, Woodcroft SA

Even before the renovations to this shopping complex this was my favourite branch for my credit union. The new facilities are inviting and spacious. The staff is amazing – always helpful, friendly, efficient and courteous – nothing is too much trouble to them. The accounts that are available suit my needs and have for many years. Recently when I needed to re-arrange my accounts the girl was efficient, patient and friendly. What more could I ask for? This credit union is about people and its attitude certainly reflects this.

This store was an addition after the renovations. It is a well set out large store with an enormous range of products at excellent prices. Whenever I have shopped here I have found the staff to be incredibly helpful – if they do not know the answer they will certainly ask other staff until I am given the answer. The check-out operators are efficient and friendly. A nice place to just wander around. I never come away empty handed or without a bargain. However, I do miss the previous store at Morphett Vale.

A new addition to the shopping centre that was muchly needed. It is a huge shop with the usual fruit and vegetables. There is also a deli section and gourmet range of produce. I recently purchased some grapes, watermelon and pineapple from here. The sales assistant (probably the owner) was efficient and with a great sense of humour. The watermelon was the best I have tasted in a long time. Will return when in the complex and spend more time looking around.
