Our lunch here was superb. Lovely atmosphere with views over Wellington Square. Amazing friendly and helpful service. Huge range of beers, stouts and ciders on tap at excellent prices.
My husband and I shared a tapa plate for $40 of bbq bourbon pork ribs (6), lamb seekh kebabs (4), Southern friend chicken strips (4), fried haloumi and chorizo (2 and 4), herb dusted fish (4) and crumbed button mushrooms (4). We were not hungry after this feast. They offer lots of specials throughout the week. We noticed people eating their burgers and we want to return to also sample these. We will be back.

Went with friends on a Sunday for lunch. The menu was good with reasonable prices.
The waitress service was very good, but food service was really slow (we were beginning to wander if they had lost our order). Admittedly they were very busy. When the food arrived it was average. My chicken schnitzel with meat-lovers sauce was overcooked with only a small amount of sauce. The chips were hot but under-cooked and greasy. My husband's fish combination was okay but the chips were overcooked and only warm. The surroundings were very pleasant with an enclosed kids' play area. However we will not be returning.

Huge variety of adventure clothing and equipment. Purchased a security neck pack for our overseas travel - $41.95 not cheap but excellent quality. Saw a beautiful red waterproof jacket on special at 25% off. Unfortunately did not purchase but went back 2 weeks later. They offered 10% discount and when I asked for a further 5% it was accepted. Returned security neck pack (was given one by friend) and was offered a store credit for 12 months. Instead my husband purchased a leather hat. Very happy with quality of items (reasonably priced) and the service was excellent.

After a minor accident I enquired about repairs. The service that I received was above and beyond. The serviceman was a gentleman and he was very thorough and helpful. There were scratches and a few dent in the rear section, plus one panel was protruding slightly. After inspecting the damage he spent about 10 minutes placing the panel in a better position (hardly noticed it was damaged).
On the day my husband dropped off the car for the repairs and everyone at the garage was again helpful and courteous. My husband was offered a ride home. When the repairs were complete (5 days later, which was normal for this type of repair requiring a new panel) we were pleased with the results. The garage handled all of the insurance claim and we paid the excess only. Hoping we never need their services again, but fully recommend for others.
Have returned after more damage was done to my car. This time they drove me home and also collected me when the repairs were finished. We were very happy with the work once again.

A very caring establishment (they even have a dog water bowl and strap tie-up ring outside).
My husband was coming down with a cold on our holiday and we found the staff in this chemist to be wonderful. Their advice was excellent and well appreciated.
Apart from the health benefit the gifts available were lovely and I purchased a beautiful platter for an excellent price.

The cheeses and yoghurts are made from sheep milk.
Samplings of these and some other local products are available. However we were charged $4.50 each for the experience of trying tiny samples of two yoghurts, 6 cheeses, olive oil, dressing and fig syrup. This was outrageous - nowhere else on the island charged for samples. I did
enjoy the honey yoghurt, cream cheese and haloumi, but on principle refused to purchase any. However we did buy some absolutely delicious fig syrup and fig roll (both of which we found elsewhere for considerably less cost). You could say this place left a bad taste in my mouth. We had wanted to see the sheep milking but were much too early, so we moved on.
The toilet facilities are excellent.

I feel this place is taking advantage of the tourists. Even a sign advertising the cost of tastings could have eased the situation.

You could say this place left a bad taste in my mouth.

A large place just out of Kingscote, with a nice gift and souvenir area, and free honey samplings. There is a cafe and lots of tourist information. We wandered around for a while, but there was nothing that we had not seen elsewhere. I did not find the place as warm and welcoming as other places. Worth a drop-in if in the area.

We arrived just in time for the end to the koala feeding, but were able to have a little pat. The cost to hold one was $20 for about 5 minutes. As we wandered around we were enchanted with the place. The grounds were beautifully maintained and set out, and the enclosures were ideal for the animals and birds (except the one for the crocodile, but a new one is in the process of being built). At one time we came across a beautiful peacock just wandering around the paths. We spent about 15 minutes talking with the parrots - very entertaining. As part of the entry fee we were given pellets and seeds for the animals. I thoroughly enjoyed being a 'big kid' doing this. A very relaxed 3 hours was spent here. Thoroughly recommend even if you have seen other Australian wildlife parks and your entry fee obviously helps to care for these creatures.

First we watched a video on the production of eucalyptus and we found it very informative and interesting. The gallery is very large and includes a cafe. Wandering around we were fascinated by the display of historic items (I could remember some products in my mother's home.) The range of eucalyptus based products is enormous and most have samples available. As my husband was coming down with a cold we purchased eucalyptus drops which helped his situation. There is a guided tour available but the timing was not right for us. We recommend that a visit to this place is well worthwhile.

This review is for Kangaroo Island Brewery, Kingscote SA

A mini brewery made with love. The 'shed' is made from recycled materials and is full of charm. The interior is filled with seating of all kinds - from lounges to bar stools. We chose stools at the bar as everywhere was occupied. The day we visited a large group had gathered to farewell a local couple who were leaving the island. The views out over the paddocks are beautiful (and the paddocks are great areas for the kids to run around.) The service, even when very busy, was friendly and excellent. The tasting paddle of 4 drinks is very well priced at $10 and the beers were icy cold, refreshing and delicious. A lovely alcoholic ginger beer is worth a try. Food platters are available, and even though we did not indulge they looked amazing. Beer is only available to purchase on the premises but expansion will see the availability of purchasing bottled beer to take home.
This place is well worth a visit - take some time to just sit back, relax and enjoy a good few beers.
