My transmission lasted 200K km before it wore out and WA Automatics did a comprehensive recondition. Within 60K km the rebuilt transmission failed, the assessment was that it was worn out again! I had the ute since new and nothing has changed in terms of weight, application, work load or driver (me)
WAA stated that they had no explanation for the premature failure but said they would "look after" me in repairs. So they rebuilt it again and charged me the full reconditioning fee, again!
Avoid them at every cost

Executive Media called me in a telemarketing campaign to offer advertising in the Facility Perspectives magazine with a free editorial. I replied that the advertised cost was too inhibitive and salesman Max offered to discount the cost by 10%. He sent me a quote for the GST exclusive amount that was equivalent to the advertised GST inclusive amount. In other words, he did not reduce the price at all!. I pointed this out to Max and he claimed the advertised price was incorrect, that it should show "Plus GST". However, I have to say that this advertisement has been in place for a very long time. Max claimed he took 10% off the advertised price as a discount - but this is not correct. If you take 10% off you do not end up with the GST exclusive amount, it is slightly different. My main question, as should always be when advertising in a newspaper or magazine, is about the circulation figures. Max claimed that they are not available! I called the head office to discuss what I believe to be a trick to simulate a discount and I spoke to the manager, Michael. Michael says he is a CPA but that he is unaware of the requirement to advertise the "GST Exclusive" status of an item! He also claims that he can't see any difference between reducing the figure by 10%, and deducting GST (for this advertised figure, $2194.50, discounting by 10% results in a cost of $1975.05, whereas removing GST results in a figure of $1995.00. The difference is only small, but it means that Max did not discount 10% and was already aware of the real GST amount! Michael fully supported Max's actions so I have no option but to consider the company as one if extremely low integrity.

Webarena told me their system is "open source" and I believed them (Silly me) I had to pay the total, around $3k up front. After a while they put the project (ie my website creation) on "Administrative hold" and demanded another $100 to continue work on it. Note - I had already paid the total up front. When it was finally finished, I am not kidding - 18 months after I paid up front - they sent me an invoice for monthly hosting fees that were around five times what I was already paying. I explained that I never signed up with them for hosting, and that it was too expensive anyway, and I would stay with another host. They immediately shut my website down, yes took it off air. Then they told me that their system is totally propietary and that unless I paid the monthly fees, I would never have my website on line again!!
I paid for one more month to give me time to take legal action. That's when I found out that their Registered Business Address, their Registered Principal Place of Business and the Registered home address (ie as registered with ASIC) were all false addresses. Their advertised street address in West Perth was just a serviced office (ie they are not actually there, they just use the postal address and phone answering service) I have now paid another designed to replace my website which is Wordpress and cheap for hosting. Legal action continues against Webarena, but they have v]clearly done this many times before. Beware - they claim that although you own the text and images that you supply, they own the "Structure" and the "software". That means without them, you have no website even though you paid for it!
