This is a quaint (small) hole in the wall style cafe in the QVB - as you walk from Town Hall station underground to Pitt Street Mall its on your left just before the ramps up to the Westfield.

The guys are friendly and the coffee is good quality and drinkable as soon as you receive it. There are plenty of sweet treats in the display cabinets and this morning as I purchased my coffee I saw the source of most of their sweet morsels of goodness - Pasticceria Papa! So you know its good!!

Will definitely get my coffee from them again.

Large coffee $3.50 and Almond Croissant $4.00.

Who doesnt love an MSG filled yum cha lunch? Fat Buddha is one of many yum cha restaurants in the CBD and while it might be a little more expensive than others, the food is tasty and appeared to be fresher as often the food was still steaming when it was placed on the lazy susan!

As soon as you sit down you are bombarded with people offering you steamed or fried plates and before long the susan is filled with delicious morsels of MSG goodness. Staff can be a little pushy - often offering you more than one of something so be prepared to push back and say no if you don't want something.

It gets pretty busy so I would suggest booking. The restaurant is small and has lovely decor.

This is a quaint and cool little cafe in the basement of the Westfield - who would have thunk a hills hoist would make a great interior design accessory!

Anywho the coffee is really good but's its the prices that seem to be even more surprising with them being cheaper than many other cafes in the building.

The staff are friendly and even when you get a takeaway they even bring it to you when you are sitting and waiting (if you actually have to wait that long!)

Approximate cost: $2.50 for a regular

I always find that the service here (especially from the barista) is friendly and fast. This is another cafe where I have only had the coffee so my review is limited to the caffeine on offer but it is excellent coffee and always made to drink straight away (again hate burning my mouth on coffees that are too hot).

It's a little more expensive than other cafes offering the same sized coffee but I am happy to pay and drink from here if I find myself in this part of the city.

They also have a great range of savoury and sweet treats on offer.

Approximate cost: $4.80 for a large (and its big!)

After months of being on the waitlist we managed to get into the centre at the start of the year (there is a small to no chance of getting in mid year - we have August babies!)

The reason for the 6 month wait is evident from the level of care and extremely low (ie no) staff turnover at this centre.

The centre is small (15 children in each of the 3-5 rooms) with an equally low number of children in the 2-3 and nursery rooms.

Staff are friendly, appear to be happy and the carers range in age from 20-somethings to 40-somethings. The old house has good security and a large backyard for the kids to play in.

I am very happy with the centre and soon hope to get my youngest in there.

Approximate cost: $98 per day for 3-5 year old

Another great place to source party supplies, as well as cake decorating supplies and costumes. They have a limited range of licensed material and a huge range of coloured party supplies for all occasions.

There are plenty of staff on hand to help out with ideas and suggestions and service is friendly and happy (or at least the staff that assisted me appeared to be!)

These guys have a wide range of party supplies with limited licensed products - the more popular characters are available from Lombard. They also have a huge range of balloons and party supply products in every imaginable colour.

Prices are cheaper than other party supply places and service is friendly.

There is parking off the road out the front of the store (Silverwater Road can get pretty busy).

When your soon to be 4 year old daughter develops an obsession for the not so common Disney characters - aka Rapunzel from the movie Tangled - one finds it difficult to locate Rapunzel only decorations - Cinderella, Belle and Sleeping Beauty are everywhere. Thankfully This Party Started sources its party supplies direct from the US and they stock a wide range (wider than many suppliers in Sydney) of licensed party supplies.

Now while a lot of the products are cheaper online from the US direct - many don't post to Australia - and those that do, once you add in the price for postage - its cheaper to buy from these guys.

Staff are helpful and friendly, and prices are reasonable - I was looking more for the keeper items (head bands, rings, necklaces, decorations etc rather than the disposable plates, napkins, cups - all of which were in abundance).

An idea of prices - Headbands $7.99 (4 pack), Hanging decorations (12 pack) $11.99, Cake Topper Rings (10 pack) $10.

Needless to say we had a very Rapunzel themed birthday party thanks to these guys.

They also deliver Australia wide ($10.99 Standard Postage, $19.99 Express Post) so if you are not close by to browse and pick up yourself, their website and delivery service are a good option.

This review is for Decolata Cafe, Summer Hill NSW

Another of the many cafe's in Summer Hill - I guess as a local you would pick your favourite and not venture too far further, but I thought I would try Decolata as somewhere different - if only to see how the coffee rates as compared to the others in the vicinity.

The cafe is quite nice with plenty of room for a lady and her pram! The service is friendly and fast with plenty of pastry treats on offer in the refrigerated counter - the muffins looked delish (but on this occasion I refrained).

The coffee was good and strong, but a little too hot to drink immediately (esp from a sipper spout in a takeaway cup).

It's good to know there is another good coffee place in Summer Hill - At least I have a place to go should all the others be closed for some inexplicable reason!

Approximate cost: $3.50 for a large coffee

We used to grab our coffees from here but found that the service was slow and not the friendliest. You place your order and wait - no small talk or friendly banter at all (even when you try).

The coffee is okay but I do like good service and I think without it the coffee doesn't taste as good. The coffee is Campos but I think its better from a few doors up.

Also, the white lounges/couches they have are a bit grotty and I really don't like the idea of sitting on them.
