I am having a bad experience with RACV landlord insurance. I have initiated a claim for a damaged sower basin 3 months ago and every time I call to enquire about this, a new consultant speak with me and says they have no idea why this has been delayed. First the builders went in and checked the damaged shower basin, and when I called RACV they said the builders have not properly stated that the basins are damaged through out the entire thickness. This was told to me more than 2 months later after i initiated the claim, and I gave calls to RACV many times after that and the response I get from consultants is that they tried to call builders but didn't get reports and things like that and all the consultants say they have no idea why previous consultants whom I spoke with didn't take this and that action. It seems RACV consultant have no idea what they are doing and they are passing the ball to who ever spoke before and after 3 months the claim is still at the initial stage. this is really disappointing outcome. the leak detection proved that it is leaking water from the damaged shower base and I am waiting eagerly to repair the basins but holding it because I do not get a proper outcome from the insurance. The consultants kept telling me they have so much claims to handle so they sometimes miss things, which is a very disappointing statement to hear after paying the insurance fees on time. The consultants seem to even look at the files of the claim after I call them and ask about it. I do not recommend RACV for any one after this experience.
