I think you need to soak in the atmosphere to enjoy this place, if you're not in to the old classic feel then I wouldn't recommend. However, we went here for a family dinner and quite enjoy it. I had the beef & beer pie and it was really really yummy, I would get it again in a heart beat. I don't drink much but hubby commented that the range of beers was 'decent'. We all liked the set up of the place, the history feel it had to it was nice, it was dining with a difference. No one complained about their food so all was good, nothing mind blowing but a decent meal. Steaks looked nice, I had a slice of hubby's and it tasted just as good. I think the only thing that let them down, although ever so slightly, was their service. We did have to catch their attention a few times to get things like a steak knife etc and they weren't the smiliest people but I am just picking something really...

We went to Broome and basically did all the tours/trips we thought looked interesting. Having never been in a hoevercraft before, my husband and I wanted to give this a go. We opted for the scenic/historic one because we were keen to see the dinosaur footprints and already had something booked for sunset. We really enjoy the hovercraft trip, it's pretty cool to go around in one of these big things, the way the tyre just blows up etc. The commentary on this trip was really enjoyable, it was factual but you didn't feel like you were in a class room if that makes sense, I find some commentary is too in depth and you feel like you are being lectured instead of just informed. It was great to hop out and explore, the footprints were shown to us and they were pretty unique to look at and make up your own mind. Was also really nice just to walk around the sand with the red cliffs in the background, a realxing trip. I kind of wish we had the time and money to do the sunset trip and even the shipwreck trip but you have to sacrifice somewhere I guess. I would recommend, it's kind of expensive, we paid about $110 each and it's only 1 hour but we found Broome expensive in general. We would a different tour next time so I guess the fact that we'd go back and pay more to do another trip shows that we really did enjoy it

This review is for Captain Cook Cruises, Perth WA

I went on a dinner cruise with Captain Cook, it was for a work function. The food was pretty nice, it was a buffet style with roast meats, seafoods, salads etc. It was actually better than I was expecting but if you were towards the end of the queue the selection looked a bit miserable...I guess that can be the case for any buffet. The staff were really nice, reasonable selection of drinks. They cleared up and you were able to use the dance floor which made for a great night, could also sit out the front in the fresh air to cool off as dancing inside got pretty hot, pretty quick. City lights were lovely whilst eating dinner. Cruise was just long enough (3 hours), any longer and I think we would have been eager to hop off

This review is for Broome Camel Safaris, Broome WA

We were told not to miss a sunset camel ride so we booked with this company as they were the ones available and cheaper than the other one we looked at. The guide was so lovely and friendly, didn't mind taking photos for us and gave us heaps of information about Broome in general, where to eat, what else to do etc. We went further up the beach than I saw the other company to go which made it an even better deal. Would highly recommend to anyone going to Broome

This review is for Complete Tyre Solution, Cockburn Central WA

I just rocked up here after it was recommended to me by someone in my workplace because I had a big chunk taken out the side of my wheel and also a screw in the main part of the tyre. They helped me straight away whilst I waited, patched up the gash in the side and filled in the hole in the tyre after taking out the screw. Had no problems since. I was really appreciative of them doing this straight away as I didn't feel to safe on the road. They just seemed like nice, friendly local guys and I will go back to them when my car is due for new tyres

I live in WA but use this website to purchase baby products because I find they are cheaper than anywhere else, even in stores over here in Perth. My most recent purchase was a baby monitor which was $20 cheaper than any other store I could find (inc the postage cost!). BJ City Select was available here for $749 on a summer special with other shops selling for over $800. Some items aren't cheaper so you have to look around but in general they are really good. Their website can be a bit clunky, it's a pretty basic design but I just use the search tool as I normally know exactly what I am looking for.

This review is for R & J Cafe, Southern River WA

I used to work at Coles in Southern River and would go here about every second Saturday for lunch. I normally got a rsteak and gravy roll and then chips and gravy. Chips and steak always cooked fresh. Prices are a bit expensive but probably considered average for a cafe? You can dine in. The staff are friendly, I get the same man and lady every time so they got to know me. They also have a range of deserts in the cabinet, coffees, teas, salads and other standard cafe foods. Have always found food comes out reasonably fast as they never seem flat out.

This is a bit of a hidden place, it's at the little shopping centre on Randford road opposite Bunnings (near Coles). My husband and I sometimes get takeaway from here as it's between our house and my mums house so we get it on our way home. They offer quite a large range of Malaysian food, prices are very good and food tasty, we normally just get noodles and rice because we don't eat so much meat, the meals are very big. It is a small place, I probably wouldn't dine in here for special occasions but like I said we do enjoy it as a takeaway. Staff are friendly, service is quick and we've never found it overly busy. We have only used them for dinners, not sure if they are open for lunch as well?

This review is for Hands On Laser Cosmetic Clinic, Yarraville VIC

I visited this place probably about 8 months ago now as at 25 I still have quite bad skin, lots of blackheads on my face and even my neck area which I am self conscious of. I spoke to them about it and they suggested an extraction facial which I had never heard of before. Although slightly uncomfortable (as would be normal when extracting blackheads!) it was actually really good, the young lady got rid of lots of my blackheads and due to the steaming etc beforehand it wasn't as painful as I expected. My skin was red for about 24 hours after (again as expected from the squeezing) but I certainly felt much cleaner and not as self conscious. She also suggested face cream with retinol A (again never heard of) to help keep the pores closed so that I didn't break out so bad all the time. I was really happy with their service, I didn't feel uncomfortable talking about my skin with them and was really happy with the end result. Unfortunately I don't live in VIC (I was visiting family) otherwise I would have gone back here in a flash but I certainly would recommend them to anyone living in the area. Just genuine, friendly people.

This review is for Andrew The Mowing Guy, Atwell WA

verified email - 21 Nov 2012

I have been using Andrew's mowing service for over a year now, maybe over 2 years, I can't remember when I started with him! He is great, reminds me the night before that he is coming, price hasn't increased since originally coming to see us, comes in the morning, mows, edges, cleans up (ie blows away all the clippings etc). Whenever I ask him to fertilise or something it's no problems. Great to have someone local doing this for us :)
