Simply the best! I always let Maria do whatever she wants to my hair, because I know I will be pleased with the result. Using this mobile hairdressing service has been very convenient and not at all messy like I thought it would be. It's good when the hairdresser comes to your house, because she will concentrate on your hair only instead of doing other customers' hair in between, so it takes less time. The only thing you have to do is to sweep the floor afterward.
We have always used Bubble & Steam for the cleaning of our carpets, simply because they always give us the best quotes, they are available when you need them, and they do a good job.
My first impression of this childcare centre was very positive: the entrance area was clean, open, modern, and light, and the service at the desk excellent. The carers are dedicated, friendly and professional. There are many age-appropriate activities for each of the child groups, and up-to-date equipment and toys for the children to play with. The children are provided with healthy meals throughout the day.
No one can walk past Boalywood, especially when they have their shoe sales on. The whole community receives a note in their mailbox about the sales, and all the Moranbah ladies line up at the door early in the morning to make sure they're the first one to enter when the doors open. I've found some amazing shoes and accessories in this store that you might not even find in Sydney!
Our landlord recommended this company to us. He was unhappy with another company that had done carpet cleaning in his apartment before, and asked us if we could use Electrodry instead. I was happy with their service and the quality of work. Even though the carpets were very old and quite stained, they looked good after cleaning.
This pharmacy is probably the largest in town, and has a good variety of medicinal and gift items on the shelves. It's easy to find what you need, and the staff usually approach you and ask if you need assistance. There's a Newsagent in the same shop area, so you can get your daily paper at the same time with your scripts.
When I lived in Muswellbrook, I used this pharmacy mainly because of the good, helpful service they provided. The pharmacy is also conveniently located next to the doctor's surgery, so it's easy to get your scripts. Even though it's a small pharmacy, they have quite a large variety of gift items, and they always had the medicine I was after. I often bought Christmas or birthday presents for my family from here, too.
The best thing about the swimming centre is the heated pool that you can use throughout winter. It's fairly large, but often crowded. The outside pool is great in warm summer months. They have some big water toys that you can hire for a dollar or two - kids love them. There's a kiosk and alright changing rooms and toilets.
Approximate cost: $3.40 for adult (?)
This is a really nice small cafe and restaurant at the main street. They have decorated the inside with porcelain and gift items that are all for sale, so you have something to look at while you're waiting for the food. I always ordered the same thing here: The Satay Rice. It's a vegetarian meal that meat lovers like my husband can't turn down. All the meals here are vegetarian, but don't get scared by this fact, because the meals are delicious! At lunchtime you get everything for only five dollars.
Debbie used to always do my hair while we lived in this town. She works hard and long hours to keep her customers happy, and seems to be enjoying her job. I was pleased with the way she cut my hair, and it was always great to have a cuppa and a little chat. It doesn't cost as much here to do colours and perms as it would in some other places, so it's good value for money as well. She can also recommend the right products to you - I have very fine hair, and she made me buy a really good treatment to strengthen it.
