There seems to be confusion over timeshare and hotel membership. Ihave both with accor.
Firstly, timeshare which is ACCOR VACATION CLUB. Let me be clear i have been a member for more than 10 years and have used it for holidays in australia & america. I have found them to be fantastic in most instances. The quality of the accomodation and the service in general, been great. Just recently i took my parents to the gold coast for 4 nights and whilst the apartment needed some freshening up, it wasn't anything to get hysterical over. The most important thing about timeshare is that it is not for everyone. That DOES NOT mean it is bad. Oh and by the way i know people are confused because timeshare membership is not something that comes up for renewal every 12 months.
Secondly, ACCOR HOTEL CLUB which Ihave also had for many years, is an annual hotel membership which allows a member special discounts and promo travel packages in their hotels worldwide. I have used my membership in australia, u.k., france and n.z. and will be using it in Europe later this year. Again this sort of membership is not for everyone, BUT this does not make it bad. Lastly, everybody has different expectations for their accomodation and different needs, ALL reveiws should allow for this.
