THEY CANCELLED OUR WEDDING!
Unorganised, unprofessional, and unethical. In June we reserved a wedding date, pending a site visit where we would pay the deposit. As this was delayed due to COVID, we offered to pay the deposit immediately anyway, but were reassured on multiple occasions that this wasn’t necessary, the date was still secure for us, and they didn’t like to receive deposits before the site visit. The next 4 months were spent arranging everything else for that wedding date. 2 days before the rescheduled site visit in October, we received a 5:17pm email advising us they had accidentally booked another event on our wedding date. With only 5 months left until the wedding, we were left distraught and out of pocket thousands, having to search (along with all the couples rescheduled by COVID) for another venue, thankfully eventually finding one, albeit far outside our budget. No compensation offered.
