This is a very modern and high tech playground. No dry creeks or rocky sandpits here. It's all bright colours and shiny surfaces and challenging equipment. My kids loved it. At 14 seven & six, they were well able to cope with it all. Kids of all ages love the water area, with jets coming on in various spots and causing great excitement! Also large sand pit, climbing wall, huge slides, double flying fox, nets, wormhole etc etc.
For myself, I loved the wide expanses of grass and the sweet rounded hills that look as if they come straight out of a Teletubbies set. Excellent for rolling down.
There are some huge BBQ areas, with lots of shelter, on the far side of the grass. There are also lots of picnic tables and BBQs right beside the river.
This would have been a NIGHTMARE for me when my hyper kids were little as the river is not fenced off. Beware if you have toddlers or wild kids.
The views over the river are lovely.

This is the only place i go to have keys cut & shoes repaired. The two brothers here are friendly & will repair your shoes while you shop at meadow mews.

I've been to a few functions at the tailrace centre & found it to be very spacious with easy access for wheelchairs & prams. There are plenty of toilets & baby change facilities & the views of the tamar river are amazing. There is heaps of parking with disabled parking right at the door.

Often take the scenic drive along rosevears drive & stop at the tavern for lunch. the views of the tamar river are magnificent in summer when the sun is shining on the water. The meals are tasty, my favourite is always grilled chicken with a ceasar salad & a glass of white wine. The service is good & the dining room is spacious

Havent been here for a couple of months but the food is amazing. Their is a wide selection to choose from but i really liked the garlic mash & scallops & the kids favourite is always the waffles & chocolate fountain

Very professionally run, great lunch, great staff, great boat and a wonderful part of the world. The trip around Sarah Island was a highlight. Only negative thing was that the forest walk was short and restricted to a small area so you didn't really get a feel for the old forest areas. Recommended

had a birthday cake bought for me from this bakery & it was omnomnom. It was supermoist & tasted so good. The icing & cake toppers were made perfectly & everyone commented on how good it looked & tasted.

I bought my mower here a while back & always take it here to be serviced too because I always get a good deal here & the guy is very nice. they sell & service mowers, brush cutters, edgers, & other lawn care machinery
