This is an amazing gallery and shop of handcrafted wooden items from spoons to large pieces of furniture. It smells heady when you enter the shop and I would love to buy up big every time I visit. However, because of the nature of the handiwork, prices are beyond my budget. I still have given 5 stars for value though because of the expertise and beauty of the work - well worth the prices if you can afford it.

This is a beautiful old house in the centre of Springwood that hosts an ever changing gallery of exhibitions from local artists. The house is a little dated and shabby but provides a great opportunity for locals to enjoy various media created by their contemporaries. My only criticism is that the front door is always closed and it is a bit confronting to go up to it and open it - you are never sure whether it is OK to do so.

This is a gallery and shop showcasing aboriginal art and books about aboriginal communities. It is superbly presented and is one of my favourite shops in Leura. I head here when I want to buy gifts for friends overseas and always find something interesting and/or educational. Prices range from a couple of dollars to hundreds so there is something for everyone. The service is friendly and informative when it needs to be.

We stumbled on this little in-house gallery whilst showing visitors around the Mountains. The range of art was interesting and colourful. The house is full of character with a delightful garden. No need to spend long here, but a nice little spot to visit between other major destinations.

This review is for The Nook, Leura NSW

A great concept that needs to be updated and re-assessed perhaps. The Nook is an outlet co-operative of local artists and crafts people to sell their work. However I have never found it particularly warm and welcoming and the stock is predictable and a little dated. It is situated up stairs which are not very easy to negotiate if you are an older person.

My husband and sons use this business for their regular car check ups and repairs. The service is personal and the proprietor provides the convenience of a lift home if the car is in for a few hours work. Charges are always very fair and the business is honest and professional.

This little cafe in an arcade in Springwood is always full to overflowing because everyone knows it has the best coffee for miles. No seating inside the cafe but tables and chairs in the arcade so all undercover. Also sells a small range of food - but it is the coffee that counts.

We dealt with Scott Lister when selling our house and he has now moved into his own business. We were impressed with his integrity and encouragement at all times throughout the sale.

This is a very popular place to meet up with fellow antique hunters - any time of year there seems to be plenty of patrons. The food is good value and warming for what can be a very cold place in winter.

An old theatre has been transformed into an antiques emporium - many different sellers under one roof, two levels of goodies to browse through. When you get tired, take a break in their cafe. Prices and stock vary - you may or may not find something on the day you visit.
