I have been here a few of times, mostly for coffee, but occasionally had lunch as well. I wouldn't say the coffee is the best, but still pretty good, and the service that comes with it is great. Friendly and inviting atmosphere. Their desserts are delicious to have with a coffee, and their food always tastes fresh and is well presented.
The best part about this is that it is 24 hours- very good to grab a bite after heading out, when there is very little to choose!
Unfortunately, the food often tastes quite old, and I have always gotten very slow service. I haven't gone often (sober-that's when you can taste the food!).
Very nice place. I enjoyed it alot. Went with my partner and we had a great time! Great dishes, and amazing service.
Sometimes, I have been very pleased with the service, other times it has unfortunately been terrible. Lazy-seeming staff, messy tables, and food that just tastes old. Each time I go back it seems to have deteriorated more, which is disappointing as a few years ago I absolutely loved it. I haven't bothered returning in a while.
Not the greatest food, but delicious nonetheless. I think the best part of going is the margaritas! A great place for a social catch-up, or for dinner before going out. Great vegetarian options.
Really nice Chinese food, which can sometimes be difficult to find, surprisingly. Some of the food has been quite watery tasting, but mostly it has been satisfactory. My partner especially loves the deep-fried ice cream for dessert.
Most of the times I have been here, I have loved the food! The vegetarian green curry was absolutely delicious, and the veg fried rice was good enough that I sometimes wanted to order only that. The service has always been friendly and reasonably fast.
However, the last time I visited with my partner, we were both unhappy with the food- the green curry was very bland, and I was also disappointed with my fried rice! It was bad enough that we haven't been back in a while, despite going every moth or so before. Hopefully it was only a down night, and next time will be back to our standards.
The food is absolutely delicious! But why is everything so huge? I have gone in wanting something to grab and go for a bite at lunch, but they are all meal-sized, and I often don't have time to eat it. More of a place I recommend sitting with a friend and enjoying. Coffee is also reasonable.
I have only been here once, and the food was delicious! The only real problem is that the staff seem too "professional,' as in, they are all very formal acting, but no smile or personality! Over all, I would definitely return, and would recommend to friends.
I have loved Dumpling World since it was in the previous location in Collins Street! The staff ave always been friendly, the meals are reasonably priced and tasty. My partner and I have tried most of the menu, and have found most to our liking. Some really nice vegetarian options, and my partner loves the Kung Pao Chicken.
Approximate cost: $10-$15
