As with any Pancake Parlour, the food was a good quality. But as they were busy, the service was lacking, yet at the same time, we also felt very rushed out of there so they could get turn over the table. Would be worth going back when they're not packed.
Approximate cost: $22
Was a great tasting pizza, but the price seemed a bit steep, the staff looked stressed out, and it took 20 minutes for 2 pizzas. God knows what it would've been had I order delivery.
Approximate cost: $12
Stopped in here a week ago just to get some flake and chips for lunch, and it was really well cooked and tasted great. They even did the chips a little longer at my equest because I love them crunchy. Thanks guys, will be back when next in the area.
Approximate cost: $8
I think they charge more because they're the only bakery in town and have been around so long, but the 3 pies I have gotten from here whilst driving through in the last year have all needed reheating. Turn you oven up!
Approximate cost: $4.50
I've only ever gotten takeaway for here, but it's quality never falters. Their Mongolian beef leaves nothing to be desired, and their lemon chicken actually has chicken in it! The services is always nice, are yet to mix up and order, and they even deliverer at no extra charge.
With reasonable prices, what more could you ask for? Pick up the phone and give them a call.
Approximate cost: $25
I love going here. The souvlaki is brilliant, they even cook the meat a little less for me without hassle. The fish is nice and fat. Chips are very well cooked, and once of the owners, Ming, is nothing but a pleasure to deal with.
Burgers are bloody awesome too. Never burnt and never dry. Having said all the, even the price is what's to be expected. They know they're good, but they don't charge like they are.
Approximate cost: $8
I'll be honest as this is what is demanded of me. The quality of the pizza is lacking in taste and substance by a long shot. But, after a long night on the drink with my mates, who am I to turn down a $6 pizza? And at that time of night, the taste doesn't matter so much. I wouldn't return for a family dinner, but for a late night snack with mates that's delivered relatively quickly, I wouldn't say no.
Approximate cost: $6
Much like any other Bubbas, the service is stock standard, but the pizza tastes great, ordering online and over the phone is nice and easy, they remember your details so you don't have to repeat yourself, and delivery is never longer than the 45 minutes they say.
Wherever I am in Victoria, Bubbas is always my first choice.
Approximate cost: $10
All the doctors seem pleasant, having pathology in the same building is very convenient, and it's nice and easy to find. But it's the long waits, the $20 fee after 5pm, and the lack of parking as its shared with a massive shopping centre that lets this place down. Too difficult to get seen when you're feeling so shotty.
During a day trip to the island, we wandered into this bakery to get lunch. I got the 'Surfers Pie' and fell in love. It was amazing. Beef, bacon, herbs, and the top wasn't pastry, but some amazing cheese that I'm sure even the cow it came from would nod his head at. The risk of weight gain wasn't enough to distract me from getting another not 10 minutes later.
I didn't try anything else, but the service was very friendly, and I'll be heading there every time I go anywhere near the island. An hours drive out of my way would be warranted by that pie. That beautiful, tender, warm hearted pie. Get in my mouth, Surfers Pie.
