This is the best fish and chip shop. Ordered 3 pieces of flake with our order and when I got home had 5 pieces of flake. Why: because 2 pieces were not the normal size as normal so owner supplied extra. Fantastic honest service to their regular customer

I bought fish and chips at the Montrose Fish and Chippery and 8 of the chips were bad with black showing through them.This is disgraceful to serve a customer food like this.Doesn’t anyone check the state of the food when it goes out.I will not be going back.This is how you lose customers.Are you trying to save money.

Drive all the way from Prahran on many occasions and always stop by In Montrose if I am close by at the time. Boss would recognise me for all the years I have enjoyed their purchase take away. Went to pay with my Savings card and he says “we charge commission on cards” - so he was reluctant to accept. Next Senior comes in to pick up their order and he accepts their card without a word??? Great fish & chips - but don’t set one rule for one and the opposite for another??? I would be happy to give a $5 tip on my card! I’ll pay cash in future and the exact amount in notes & change. Happy???

I walked in expecting some decent food, maybe a bit of hospitality but instead i got the most delicious food with the perfect balance of spices! the owners came and greeted us and were extremely polite! an excellent place to go for delicious cuisine and excellent hosts. cheers.

Have purchased fish and chips from here a few times when staying with family nearby, always fresh and they have the most delicious potato cakes. My husband loves their burgers and souvlaki, Always cooked perfectly, reasonably priced, decent serves and fast friendly service.

I love going here. The souvlaki is brilliant, they even cook the meat a little less for me without hassle. The fish is nice and fat. Chips are very well cooked, and once of the owners, Ming, is nothing but a pleasure to deal with.
Burgers are bloody awesome too. Never burnt and never dry. Having said all the, even the price is what's to be expected. They know they're good, but they don't charge like they are.

I went and bought Fish & Chips from here on Saturday night and found them to be very delicious for family and I to eat. They were fresh and not greasy (which is always great) plus the Chips were very crunch. Just how we like them to be!! Well done.

I have been a customer there for nearly 8 years and I have never had better fish and chips. It is always fresh and VERY importantly NOT greasy! They do get busy but have plenty of very friendly staff.
