Marlo did my make up for my wedding and I have to say, it was fantastic. She's so down to earth and really friendly, plus she did a fantastic job on my mum and I. Whatever you want, she can do. And she takes last minute requests from fussy brides. On the day, she gave me a glass of champagne to calm my nerves and then talked to me throughout the whole service. At the end I was transformed into a beautiful bride. She uses Napolean cosmetics, but her spa offers a huge range of tans, massages, facials and everything else you'd expect from a day spa. It's a really indulgent little place, but she does provide a mobile service for special occasion make-up.

Jill performed our wedding ceremony and we could not have been happier. A few people who were at the service asked us for her details as they were so impressed. She even teared up with us when it all got emotional, which was a lovely touch. We knew we wanted Jill after meeting her for 5 minutes. She's thorough and very professional, but with a personal touch...she's just a nice person to deal with. We wrote all our own vows and ceremony, but Jill gave us a huge pack of examples to work with. Our wedding was also on the beach, and she was more than accommodating and experienced in this type of wedding. Jill was no fuss and easy to deal with. Most of our correspondence was via email, which was really helpful as we don't live near Sorrento. She a fantastic celebrant and I highly recommend her. She made our wedding ceremony beautiful.

A very professional and down to earth celebrant who gives the whole service. Denise is easy to talk to and will give you time to think about what you really want. She has a very professional manner and does a very clean and smooth ceremony. She has her own PA and will travel around the Brighton area to perform ceremonies. She did a beautiful job at a friends wedding and was prepared to take on the ceremony at the last minute.

Judy Lefers is an amazing mortgage broker. Not only is she a really nice person, but she will get you the best deal and go out of her way for you. We've dealt with Judy several times regarding properties etc we've been looking at. The first time we were after pre-approval for a house that we ended up not getting, but Judy still worked really hard for us and was completely fine about it. Her professionalism saw us come back when we purchased our first and second homes. We've recommended her to friends also who have been equally pleased with her service. She gives honest and good advice and isn't tied to any particular banks. She's only interested in giving you a great service. Judy is always available and will come to your house and organise everything, you really don't do much and she can break it all down into understandable chunks. She remembers all her clients and is very personal in her service. If you need a loan, I would honestly recommend her.

What an ambient restaurant. Beautiful old chapel that's been renovated into a restaurant. With a large bar at the entrance, they have a good deal of choice. Food is absolutely spectacular and the staff are friendly. They do functions also and I've been to a wedding here which was gorgeous.

The BEST pizza in Victoria. Easily the closest you would get if you were walking around Rome (which I have). They keep their toppings simple and the bases are flat and home made, just like you'd get traditionally. Pasta is unbelievable also, but you must get the pizza. They make excellent wine recommendations to accompany your meal and are very friendly and outgoing. The restaurant itself is very neat, clean and has a fantastic atmosphere. Get the margherita or the potato pizza and you won't go wrong. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

A neat little practice that sits above the main medical centre. Staff are friendly as is the dentist. They are extremely thorough and will go over absolutely everything with you. However, be warned, they are very pricey.

Overall, a good practice. You can usually get an appointment, even though they're always busy. It's pot luck with the doctors, I've seen good and bad there. Dr Quek is a very understanding and caring doctor who I prefer to see, but he works part time. They bulk bill also. Don't expect to go into your appointment on time though.

Not a bad place to grab a bit of lunch while you're in Lilydale. They have a lot of interesting Asian-inspired meals but also other things like salads and pasta. Its pretty cheap generally and it's always clean and well-presented.

A good selection of light lunch options are available, but there is limited seating, considering they can be pretty busy during weekdays. Great place to grab a bit before going to the movies across the road at Hewish Cinema. Heaps of parking around the area. Some really yummy gourmet treats at reasonable prices.
